People Fired, People Quit...And In the Middle, a NEW MSWA Champion

Turmoil seems to have become THE catch word for MSWA. Fans probably assumed that after the forced departure of Impact, Inc., things would calm down. They couldn't have been more wrong.
MSWA Commissioner Shawn McKeaigg has done everything he can to make sure no one forgets the people he considered his close personal friends. And now, he's gone to great lengths to ensure that many of the wrestlers responsible for eliminating Impact, Inc. from MSWA also lose people they were close to. That plan was a big secret until Greatness On Demand came to the rescue of Brock Landers after he was attacked by MSWA Mid-South & BYEW Tag Team Champions The New Age Syndicate. After driving the Sanders twins from the ring, IZW Tag Team Champion Rage Logan revealed that McKeaigg had built a clause into their contract stating that when they lost the MSWA Tag Team Championship, they were no longer allowed to compete in the company. So they were coming out to say their good-byes to the fans. As a parting gift, they granted their title rematch opportunity to Brock Landers and a partner of his choosing.
At that point, Kevin Morgan came out and quickly took the microphone, He told the fans that Shawn McKeaigg was really starting to piss him off. Everything he was doing was taking away friends of Morgan. Earlier in the show, McKeaigg had sped up the procedings in regards to determining a new MSWA Champion. He'd ordered a fatal 4-way Match involving Morgan, 3rd Rail, Double D and Xavior (who replaced MSWA Oklahoma Champion Max McGuirk for reasons known only to McKeaigg) to take place that afternoon and the winner would be the new champion. Morgan said he was going to sweeten the pot just a bit by promising that, if he didn't win, he would also leave the company. But, if he did win the title, then GoD would be reinstated by McKeaigg. The commissioner appeared and agreed to this idea and Logan led a "You Suck!" chant in his direction just for good measure.
The 4-way match was intense. With a title and possibly a career on the line, all 4 men put their best efforts forward. 3rd Rail, the former 4-time SWCW Champion and heavy favourite (due to size and experience) was the surprise first elimination. Xavior caught him with a Frog Splash and Double D moved in for the pin. Xavior was the next to go as he was taken out by his "Awesome X" tag team partner in a powerslam. This brought things down to Morgan and Double D. Morgan, the former SWCW and IZW Champion, seemed the obvious eventual winner. He was much taller and more powerful than D and had the motivation of keeping his career intact. But D, who had never held a professional wrestling title in the year-and-a-half that he'd been competing, was very familiar with being the small dog in the fight. On 3 seperate occassions, Morgan had D down and covered, but was unable to get the 3 count due to D's tenacity. And then: the mistake. Morgan picked D up for the Oklahoma Stampede, but D wriggled out of it, bent Morgan backwards and gave him the Moonlight Drive. 3 seconds later and Double D was your new MSWA Champion.
It took a moment for the reality to sink into Morgan and the fans, but "The Awesome One" didn't let it get him down. He embraced Double D in a show of true sportsmanship. Then, that moment was over as Shawn McKeaigg arrived, nearly having a seizure due to his happiness. He declared this moment that greatest in his life and tried to lead the crowd in singing "Na Na Na Na". But the fans would have none of that and thankfully, Greatness on Demand hit the ring, driving McKeaigg away and leading one last farewell for Kevin Morgan.
Analysts say that now is a rebuilding time for MSWA. With the departure of so much of their top talent, it's an opportunity for many young and new stars to step up. New champions mean new opportunities. The wrestlers just have to be in place to take advantage of them.
