WWE Legend Ted DiBiase Talks To 8CN

Posted: Apr 25th 2011 By: CMBurnham

Normally we are a boxing and mixed martial arts website, but when I had the chance to meet and speak with a WWE legend I had to take it. 2010 WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Ted DiBiase otherwise known as "The Million Dollar Man" was the VIP guest at the AA Mississippi Braves baseball game this evening. 8CN was granted exclusive access and was able to talk a little wrestling with the legend himself.

In his 50's now DiBiase admits that although he had a very successful career, it was long and hard on his body, "They call me The Million Dollar Man, but once I get two knee replacements and a hip replacement they will be calling me the Six Million Dollar Man." DiBiase tells 8CN that he will soon get both knees replaced. Who said the WWE is fake? Perhaps there is a storyline, but flying off of cages and landing through tables? Nothing fake about that folks.

DiBiase spoke about the late Chris Benoit and the double murder suicide that took place in 2007 - "Chris was one of the nicest guys that you could ever meet. I still struggle with this. Just like in any industry, there are always some idiots, but out of all of the WWE wrestlers in this industry, if I had to pick 5 guys that I held the highest regard and respect for, Chris would be one of them." DiBiase added, "Some say with as many times that Chris flew off of the ropes and hit his head that it may have had something to do with that, but I just don't get it, he was a great guy."

DiBiase currently resides in Clinton, MS. 8CN asked him if he had heard about our local Marine who was killed in Afghanistan a few weeks ago while saving two other Marines, "I didn't hear about it because I do a lot of traveling." After a few fans told him about the thousands of folks that lined the streets and saluted Staff Sgt Jason Rogers procession line, DiBiase said, " I tell you what, if I was in town I would have been on the side of the road saluting that kid myself. The WWE is a big supporter of our men and women in uniform."

8CN found Ted DiBiase to be a class act gentleman. He currently travels the country with his Ministry, "Heart of David Ministry" which he started in 1999
