Ric Flair was putting on a show last weekend at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where his daughter Ashley is on a volleyball scholarship for "Mountaineer Madness." Flair attacked basketball announcer Dave Jackson, until the Hillbilly mascot "Yosef" made the save. Flair talked to the crowd about how much he loves the college and how proud he is of his daughter's accomplishments. He then gave roses to the volleyball team. Flair, his wife and daughter attended the football game yesterday and was guest on the pre-game show talking about how great the college had been for Ashley, and said he hoped Reid could go there on a wrestling scholarship. He seemed in a great mood, and when asked, said his favorite matches were against Ricky Steamboat.

There will be a Cyber Sunday PPV "press conference" at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio with WWE RAW World champion John Cena, Edge, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, WWE Smackdown World champion King Booker, Queen Sharmell, ECW World champion The Big Show, and Jonathan Coachman scheduled to appear

Eric Bischoff has started blogging about his book on his new official website, noting some errors in the book and taking a swipe at Missy Hyatt.

The famous former WWF wrestler Iron Mike Sharpe is having kidney problems that have kept him hospitalized in Canada for the past four months. Modern Drunkard Magazine has a story on Andre the Giant and his legendary drinking prowess called "The Greatest Drunk on Earth" in this month's issue.

This week?s crazy media story was from http://www.wbir.com, the NBC affiliate in Oak Ridge, TN, on local Italian deli owner Steve Miller. The funny part of the story is Miller claimed he played football for the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears and said in the '70s, football and wrestling were together. Then he claimed in 1979 he started working for the WWF as part of the Fabulous Freebirds with partner Michael Hayes. Both claims proved to be false.

A.J. Styles and Senshi were in Monterrey, Mexico on Wednesday doing publicity for the TNA debut show there.

Jeff Jarrett has hinted to friends that he might be willing to step down as a main eventer next year.
