TNA's A. J. Styles Out 6-8 Weeks With Injury
Posted: Jan 11th 2011 By: CMBurnham
TNA star A. J. Styles will be sidelined for up to the next two months and possibly longer after suffering an injury to his hip.
Styles confirmed the injury on his Twitter page where he wrote, "Sorry guys it's true. I tore me my hip flexor and hip labrum. I'll be back wrestling real soon."
He added, "I'll be out 6 to 8 weeks hopefully and if it doesn't get better I'll will have to have surgery. It is what it is."
Styles was originally set to face Douglas Williams at Sunday night's "Genesis" pay-per-view and was replaced in the match by Abyss. Styles did come to the ring during the match and cost Williams the TNA Television Title but looked to be hurting badly.
Due to the injury, Styles will not be a part of the company's upcoming tour in the United Kingdom.
It's a bad loss for TNA as he is one of their best wrestlers and consistent performers. However, it will be a huge hit to the company if he needs surgery and will be sidelined ever longer than two months.
