Barry's hand broken by Neil, but still gets one last shot at IZW title

Aaron Neil has been one of the more dominant champions in IZW history. Aside from 5 months when the IZW Heavyweight Title was held by Big Van Vader, Neil has been champion since January 22, 2005. When he regained the title from Vader, he became the only 2-time IZW Heavyweight Champion in history. Neil is also a long time member of Impact Inc., a faction led by IZW owner John Zorthos. Neil is also one of the most in-demand wrestlers in Oklahoma also wrestling in Mid-South Wrestling Alliance where he is 1/2 of the Mid-South Tag Team Champions with Se7en and will also wrestle Ryan Davidson at UWF Total Annihilation in Ardmore on August 26th.

Michael Barry is also a well traveled superstar is his own right. He is the only 2-time NWA Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion in the history of the title. He is also a former NWA Kansas Heavyweight Champion, a former Mid-States Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, and the current All-Star Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Barry has also been wrestling in Tennessee feuding with Chase Stevens of The Naturals as well as wrestling on NWA Universal shows here in Oklahoma. He became a regular member of the IZW roster in May of 2006 and immediately became a top contender for Aaron Neil's IZW Heavyweight Title. Barry failed to defeat Neil in three title matches in May, June, and July, although the final match was won by Neil after a reverse decision.

At the August 19th IZW show, Aaron Neil successfully defended the IZW Title by defeating Philip. Later in the evening, Michael Barry defeated current MSWA Oklahoma Champion Michael Faith to be named the #1 contender for the IZW Title once again. Neil then came out and attacked Barry using a steel chair to break Barry's right hand.

At this time Barry has refused medical attention for his hand for fear that he will not be given medical clearance to wrestle on the September 16th IZW show. This could be the last chance that Barry gets to win the title from Neil. Defeating one of the most successful wrestlers in Oklahoma is tough enough. But having to do it with only one hand may prove to be an undaunting task.
