Contenders Line Up For Oklahoma X Division Title

It took ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion The Canadian Luchadore almost a year to finally capture that title, but it?s only taken a matter of weeks for challengers to line up and declare their desire to unseat the newly crowned title holder.
Now, with contenders coming from all directions, the Luchadore and his manager, Sensei Bolo, must constantly be prepared to defend that coveted belt.
The Luchadore was able to gain a few weeks off as ComPro took a brief hiatus to allow wrestlers and the fans to enjoy the Christmas holidays. At the first event of 2010, the Luchadore wasn?t present, but his title was still a focal point as a #1 contender?s match was held between Bobby Star and Tyson Jaymes. Sensei Bolo positioned himself at ringside to observe the proceedings and scout on behalf of his charge. Star also had backup in the form of his tag team partner Chris Chaos. The duo did everything they could to keep Jaymes distracted and the referee preoccupied as well, allowing illegal interference and even some double-team moves. The end of the match saw Tyson go for a splash in the corner, but referee Chance Snodgrass got caught in the move and was briefly rendered unconscious. Tyson then hit the Codebreaker, but there was no referee and Chris Chaos took full advantage, entering the ring to try and beat up Tyson some more. That move failed, as Tyson was quick to dispose of the newcomer, but it gave Star a moment to recover and he schoolboyed Tyson, pulling the tights and displaying much of Tyson?s rear end to the crowd. A recovered referee counted 3 and Bobby Star was declared the #1 contender to the Oklahoma X Division Title.
Star wasn?t able to cash in on that opportunity as he and Tyson were booked in SWCW the following week (a match where Tyson gained a little bit of revenge). But the Luchadore returned and faced another challenge in the form of the Masked Martyr. The Martyr had earned a shot by going undefeated in singles action in 2009 since his debut in November. Martyr also brought Karmyne with him, although the whereabouts of the Shadow of Death were unknown during this match. Karmyne would prove to be the difference maker as she distracted Chance Snodgrass during the course of this match. This allowed the Martyr to grab the title belt off the ring table, then toss it to the Luchadore and ?collapse? onto the mat, pulling and ?Eddie Guerrero? and making it appear as if the Luchadore had used the belt as a foreign object. When Snodgrass turned around, he saw the Martyr knocked down, the Luchadore standing with the title belt in his hand and DQed the Luchadore for using an illegal object. The Luchadore was irate and went after the Martyr when the bell had finished sounding, but the Martyr had escaped with his win-loss record still unblemished.
With both Bobby Star and the Martyr now positioned to receive title shots , the Luchadore has to be wondering who else might be out there waiting for an opportunity. Obviously former champion Justin Lee is a mainstay in ComPro and could step up for a title shot at any moment. Popped Collar Posse member Brett Taylor is also a deserving contender. And both members of Dawn of Extreme could pose a challenge for the belt if they decided to venture into singles contention. One person who will not be challenging for the belt anytime soon is former champion Goldeneye, who has departed from ComPro and will not be returning anytime soon.
