Okay, I figured i'd rant a bit...
First off...easily...RAW wins.. Vince can seriously wipe that half a bead of sweat that may have accumulated on his brow due to TNA... TNA was laughable...
The Bret-HBK-Vince series on RAW was true wrestling history and every second of it was to be hung upon... The rest of the show was typical RAW, which is both very good and somewhat boring to anyone over the age of 14... I dig Sheamus, I dig Orton, I dig Legacy and I still GET D-X... The problem with RAW and WWE is simple, too much of a great thing... If Vince ran the same show they did any week this past year 15 years ago, it would have been the greatest night of wrestling every time it aired... Now it's just status quo... It's hard to top yourself weekly, so they dont really try... WWE needs more moments like tonight Bret segments... It was real and perfect.. And it left me wanting Vince and Bret at Wrestlemania...
Outside of tiny moments with Hogan, Bischoff and Foley, TNA MADE SO SENSE TONIGHT!!! Okay, Hogan comes out to music TNA will certainly get sued for using... He's face, then heel, then face, then heel, then face, then heel... After awhile I stopped caring completely! Jeff HArdy comes out of the crowd WITH ENTRANCE MUSIC!!! FOR NO REASON!!! And why start the biggest show of your companies existence with a shitty gimmick cage match and a horrible ending even the TNA fans shit on??? You couldn't even see inside of the cage! Then Hardy... Who cares? He sits on the cage...yay... Then Shannon Moore? WHO CARES??? Then they bring in The Nasty Boys.. Would have been funny as a 10 second vignette.. but no it lasted for 2 minutes.. then another.. then another.. I know Hulk and Knobbs are boys, but a DUDLEY BOYS - NASTY BOYS feud is NOT what ANYone wants to see..ever.. Not even 15 years ago.. NO, STOP THAT!!!
Val Venis... I LOVE Sean Morley.. Glad he's getting a pay check... I thank him for saving those horrible strip poker spots (That they obviously stole from RAW 3 years ago)... Then they interingle that garbage with the Main storyline? Are you kidding me? really? Scott Hall looked drunk...no surprise... XPAc looks annoying as usual.. no surprise... The moment with the NWO crew in the ring was fun.. for about 3 minutes.. then it just kept going and kept going NO WHERE!!! Who's heel? Face? MAKE ME CARE!!! Stings back in the rafters? AND??? Jarrett and Hogan argue over the same point> who's face? Heel? MAKE ME CARE!!!
Major respect to Kurt Angle and A. J. Styles for stitching a silver lining into a large fluffy turd... Two of the best period! Nice job polishing a turd of a show... But ric Flair comes out... FOR??? He did Nothing??? Then Ninja Slim does a run in and gets powders quickly... FOR??? WHY??? Made no sense... Then HOGAN claims the spotlight in the end (No shocker there!) cutting a promo telling us what we already knew.. Angle and Styles are good... great...ok...and??? Then bringing back his Mr. Nanny acting skills, Hogan gets distracted by??? Foley walking int he hall way and arguing with a porn star???
Then the NWO attacks Foley and the show ends with Hogan looking as if he caught wind of one of Scott Hall's beer farts... IT WAS ALL FORCED!! IT WAS ALL HORRIBLE synthetic poorly written TNA+Russo+Hogan+Bischoff yuckiness! I think he fast forward button on the DVR is broke now... You can't just toss names on a card and wish for the best.. You knew this night was coming for months.. put some fucking thought into it!!
On behalf of Vince McMahon I calmly chuckle and say "Hogan Please..."
I guarantee everyone of you that saturday January 9th and every ACW event that follows will be better construsted than that smelly nugget of a TNA product!
