Brandon Bishop comments on Dr. Death's passing

i'm glad to see everyone sending Doc his greatly earned respect... It's not an easy pill to swallow losing such a great friend and mentor... I'm sure 'm joining you in remembering every moment he gave us during and before his ACW time. I'm thinking of those countless phone calls and texts talking about any number of things. From the moment he came into our lives back in June 2008, he showed us nothing less than respect and gave us credibility. He never complained about anything and never failed to entertain and bring asses to our seats...
Doc gave us countless moments backstage and hanging out around town during our events. I recall the infamous "Missing his cue because he was takng a shit" incident which is still the hardest i've ever laughed during an ACW event... The "Wing Off" vs Mitch Carter at Buffalo Wild Wings.. I remember how rateful he was when we surprised him with the "Hall of Respect" induction in 2008, and ust hours of talking and learning from him... He called ACW his home and tha meant quite a bit to me.

Of course the Retirement night on August 15th was unforgettable... I'll take that night with me until I join him. t wasn't just a great night for ACW, I feel as though WE ALL gave him one final night of glory and just did something nice for a great man wo deserved it. He's not he type to wear his emoions on his sleeve (like me) but he told me that it was one of the greatest nights of his career and life, and hat he truly appreciated it.

exchanged texts with him just a matter of days ago... I kept hoping for the big return promo claiming that he kicked cancer's ass again... I wanted that moment.. I could visualize it... He said the cancer was shrinking, but the chemo was kicking his ass... I responded with some motivational thing, but I wish I knew it was going to be the last time got to thank him. Well, I guess it's not.. On Janary 9th, we'll ALL get to thank him one last tme... ACW's January 9th event at The Phil Long Expo will be dedicated to Doc and we'll do our very best to honor this man that we all came to love...
