Capitol Legends Fanfest issued the following last night:

This Year's Fanfest Weekend Is Just Days Away!

Wrestling Legends Return to Baltimore-Washington Area;
3-Day Fanfest Features 30 of Wrestling's Greatest Stars!

The Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest, featuring 30 of wrestling's legendary heroes and villains, takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 11-13, 2006 at the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland. Some of the greatest names associated with professional wrestling in the 1970s and 1980s will be here, not only to renew old friendships (and rivalries), but to meet and greet and talk over old times with their fans.

The Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest is a three-day weekend of fun; a "dream come true" for any old-school wrestling enthusiast. The weekend affords us an opportunity to meet, chat with and get autographs from the legendary performers from our childhood. There will be autograph signings with each of the wrestling legends, chances to get your photo taken with the wrestling greats, memorabilia displays and, basically, "everything under the sun" that a wrestling fan could want.

The 30 featured wrestling legends include Abdullah the Butcher, Tony Atlas, Baby Doll, Nick Bockwinkel, Bunkhouse Buck, Dennis Condrey, Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton, Robert Gibson, Superstar Billy Graham, Stan Hansen, Bret Hart, Bobby Heenan, Rocky Johnson, Ivan Koloff, Ernie Ladd, Stan Lane, Rick Martel, Sherri Martel, Ricky Morton, Angelo Mosca, Jim Neidhart, Col. Robert Parker, The Patriot, Tom Prichard, Rockin' Robin, Larry Sharpe, Dick Slater, Masked Superstar, and Nikolai Volkoff.

VIP All Access Pass holders will have exclusive access to Friday afternoon's "Early Bird" opening session and early access on both Saturday and Sunday. VIPs have first access to all autograph signings and photo sessions, plus exclusive admission to four awesome Question-and-Answer sessions! Throw in a free copy of the weekend's full-color commemorative souvenir program and a VIP All Access Pass with neck lanyard and you have the VIP hookup!

The VIP All Access Pass is just $109. Advance tickets are on sale now! There is also a $39 Single-Day pass available for either Saturday or Sunday's events.

You may purchase VIP All Access passes online at http://www.capitollegends.com/vip.htm or at our Registration Booth at fanfest. The Registration Booth is open Noon-6 pm Friday, 8 am-6 pm Saturday and 9 am-4 pm Sunday.

Photo Op tickets are also available at the Registration Booth. Cash is the only payment method accepted at fanfest.

Visit the Fanfest Forum at http://legendsfanfest.proboards1.com to join up with other fanfest attendees.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a truly special weekend in the heart of one the greatest wrestling areas ever.

Col. Robert Parker, Bunkhouse Buck Added!

Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden, "Stud Stable" originals and wrestling legends in many southern territories, not to mention WCW's version of the group with Dick Slater. All three will be a part of Saturday's first autograph signing session on our Autograph Stage. Parker and Buck will be doing Photo Opportunities (http://www.CapitolLegends.com/photoops.htm) with fans at 8 am Saturday.

Former WCW Announcer To Emcee Fanfest Weekend!

Chris Cruise, who hosted WCW Worldwide, the top WCW syndicated TV show in the late 1980s, will be Master of Ceremonies for this year's Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest.

In addition to introducing our Autograph Stage guests, he'll also host each of the four VIP Question-and-Answer sessions.

Cruise has been dubbed by his former TV co-host Terry Funk "The Crispy Cruiser."

We are very happy to have someone like Chris Cruise a part of fanfest weekend and we hope you enjoy his contributions.

Ricky Morton Will Not Be At Fanfest

Ricky Morton of the Rock-n-Roll Express notified us Wednesday that he will not be at fanfest this weekend, but instead will do a double-shot (two shows) in Tennessee Saturday. We apologize for the last-minute cancellation. Photo Ops with Robert Gibson as a single will be honored. Anyone wanting a refund or exchange can do so on Friday at Registration.

Cornette, Heenan Friday Morning Guests on FOX Sports Radio

Jim Cornette and Bobby "The Brain Heenan are special in-studio guests on "The First Team on FOX with Steve Czaban" Friday morning from 8-9 am.

Check out http://www.czabe.com/ for more info and stations.
