Quiet Riot's "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" brings us into the interview with "The Missing Link" Dewey Robertson.

Dewey says hello to a couple of people in Arizona, including "Superstar" Billy Graham.

It took 13 years for Dewey to write his book, and he wrote it while in recovery of Steroid, Marijuana and Alcohol abuse. He also talks about the process he went though to conquer his demons.

Dewey didn't start wrestling until 24, as he was a professional golfer and hockey player. He also opened the first co-ed gym in his home area and considers himself ahead of his time with the Missing Link gimmick.

Dewey, 67 years young, still loves to jump off the top rope and hearing the adulation of the fans, but believes he's wrestled his last match. Dewey now wants to help people through his book "Bang Your Head."

Dewey says Drugs aren't just a problem in wrestling, but everywhere. He mentions Wahoo McDaniel, who lost both kidneys because of drug abuse. He also mentions how "Superstar" Billy Graham is on his second liver and lost four inches of height because of steroids.

Dewey credits Ken Mantell, legendary booker for WCCW, for coming up with much of the Missing Link gimmick.

For Dewey, wrestling in Canada was no different from wrestling in the United States, as there were many territories. The main difference was that the Southern audiences were easier to wrestle for while in the North, the wrestlers had to do less showmanship and more wrestling.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers told Jim Crockett that Dewey would be an "asset" to Crockett's company. Dewey then mentions that he was going to be Crockett's champion and they tried 3 times. Dewey mentions that he couldn't talk like Piper or Flair, which held him back until he became the Missing Link.

Dewey has two sons and 6 granddaughters.

The town where Dewey currently lives will be honoring him in October and that he is told, everyday, that he was someone's favorite wrestler from the past.

It was great for Dewey to have a full page color picture of himself in Sports Illustrated.

The "Missing Link" character began in Kansas City, when Dewey began
growing his hair to shoulder length. When Gene Lewis (Hillbilly Cousin Luke) shaved his head and became "the Mongol" in Texas, Dewey joined him but was not hired. Then, while in New Orleans, Dewey wrestled Magnum T. A. for Ernie Ladd. Dewey grew a mustache like Ox Baker, ran around the ring like Mad Dog Basham and used a headbutt like Bobo Brazil while grabbing his own hair like one of The Mongols! The final step was when Bill Watts told Dewey to paint his face.

Dewey is still an intimidating looking person, and if he's not smiling with his eyes, people get nervous around him!

Dewey's stint in the WWF was short because of some bad choices he made
involving marijuana and alcohol. Dewey goes into a story on how he wrestled Paul Orndorff one evening, slept at the airport with David Sammartino and flew home in the morning.

Dewey would drink 15 bottles of beer, one bottle of whiskey and two bottles of wine every night after his matches.

The future for Dewey is to be a speaker. He speaks about his first book and his writing about the second one.

Dewey still loves wrestling, and that kids gravitate towards his "unusual character."

Dewey has been in recovery for 15 years. Since he's 67, the temptation isn't as strong as if he were in hise 30's.
