AJ proves he has Style

It'S taken him a few years of hard work and dedication to the sport, but TNA's A. J. Styles has finally been rewarded for it and is now the new TNA world heavyweight champion again.
Styles has the unrivalled distinction of being the only man in the company to have won every TNA title during his seven year stint with the promotion.
The high flyer certainly proved his worth as a team player over the formative years of TNA and has remained there through the ups and downs.
But recently, his career stalled, with Styles becoming a comic sidekick to Kurt Angle and pummelled by the likes of Christian Cage and Tomko.
He then became involved in a fake marriage to Karen Angle, poor A. J. and his plastic crown really were flailing in the storylines for a while.
Luckily that didn't last too long, but after a short stint with the Main Event Mafia, his momentum again hit the brakes and TNA's large band of veterans seemed to steal most of the spotlight, battering all who got in their way.
Styles in the meantime seemed to be treading water. Although his performances were consistently superb, his Legends title win over Booker T and subsequent loss to Kevin Nash were nothing special.
Add in a shock best of three series loss to Matt Morgan and many of us thought our hero had had his day.
But it seems the 31-year-old could be about to re-emerge into the big time. Sting recently persuaded him to stick with TNA and carry the torch when he retired ? possibly at Bound For Glory) ? and everything fell into place.
TNA's booking committee seemed to have big plans for him and it was only a matter of time before he rose to the pinnacle once more.
So now he's knocked Main Event Mafia main man Kurt Angle off the top spot and kick started a fresh Frontline/MEM feud where does AJ Styles go now?
Once Bound For Glory is over only time will tell, however with TNA's creative team having some new blood, this world title reign could be the best, for one of the few men who has been there since the very first PPV event for the company.
The fact that TNA president Dixie Carter is said to have had a celebration for new dad A. J. and congratulated him on his win shows the company is firmly behind the champion and figurehead ? for now at least.
