Posted: Jul 10th 2006 By: mikeiles
Jim Cornette appeared on Sunday night's Live Audio Wrestling show. Here are the highlights:
- Cornette stated that despite what WWE thinks, he and Danny Davis still own Ohio Valley Wrestling.
- Cornette said he was burned out with wrestling after WWE handcuffed him with the developmental territory. He said since WWE produced a crappy product, it was meant to trickle down to OVW.
- Cornette said his knee is about 70% right now. It?s stiff and puffy, as surgery was more extensive than originally thought.
- At Slammiversary, his cane slipped out of his hand due to the humidity in Orlando.
- Cornette says he doesn?t watch WWE anymore, but was subjected recently to too many male bare asses.
- Cornette said he is giving creative input in TNA, but isn?t apart of the booking committee.
- He said TNA has to cater to the network and PPV distributors with the talent roster. The executives obviously recognize names like Scott Steiner and Sting.
- Cornette said with the departure of Earl Hebner, he hopes to never hear again about Montreal.
- He said to give the Kevin Nash/X-division feud a chance, although Cornette said he?d like to see TNA book Nash vs. Samoa Joe.
- He said he has worked with Samoa Joe in Ring of Honor the last two years, and he can?t be intimidated.
- Cornette plugged his upcoming appearances and TNA?s web site.
