Another Weekend Of Smoked Lips, Courtesy Of Shane Morbid

The wrestler who was once considered one of the biggest bullies in the state has taken on the responsibility of standing up to bullies. TAP Oklahoma Heritage Champion Shane Morbid competed three times this weekend and was victorious in each match, showing that he will not back down and is determined to prove he's #1.

Morbid's first stop was in Spavinaw, where he teamed with the Old School Express against Stevie Caballero's Foreign Legion of El Famoso & MWA Tag Team Champions Texas, Inc. Morbid looked like he was going to start the weekend on a bad note, as he was the member of his team isolated by Famoso, Tim Rockwell & Bernard Funk. Stevie's trio worked over the strong-style competitor, keeping him away from his partners until he was finally able to make a tag to Jason Jones, allowing the match to be brought to an end with a flurry of action.

The next night in Pryor, Morbid was face-to-face with an old nemesis as Dexter Hardaway stood across the ring from him. When last they met, Morbid came very close to severely injuring Hardaway and almost put him out of wrestling all together. This feud was not forgotten in their latest encounter, but the result was still the same as Morbid put Hardaway down for the three count.

But the point that was closest to Morbid was the advertised match against New York native Bobby V. V had contacted ComPro owner Mike Two about coming in to the company for several months and each contact became more and more beligerant. Mike finally conceded to bring Bobby in, but knew he could match him up against Morbid and hope Morbid would put him in his place. When V arrived at the ComPro show, Morbid was still in Pryor at the MWA event. So V scanned the locker room and looked at the schedule of matches, pondering where he could make his strongest impact. He found an opening in the Das Karnage/Mighty Mouse match and hit the ring, annihilating both men, then demanding the microphone from Jamie. He called out Mike Two and demanded a warm-up match before the main event. Mike Two reminded Bobby that he had been brought in and put in the main event without any kind of reputation. As far as he was concerned, there was no need for a warm-up match. But Mighty Mouse stepped forward and whispered something in Mike Two's ear, which turned out to be a request to face V in the match he wanted. So Mike Two allowed it and the match was on.

It didn't take long for Bobby to get a submission out of Mighty Mouse, but that wasn't satisfactory to him and he continued to apply the hold. Then Shane Morbid hit the ring and Bobby quickly scooted to the outside. Morbid called Bobby a "wop dago" and told him to go home "before your mom missed you." He said their match that night was about respect and promised the fans to smoke Bobby's lips.

As anticipated, when it came time for the match, both men were fully prepared. Morbid is known as one of the strongest strikers in the state, but Bobby was no slouch in that area either. They traded wrestling holds and closed fists, all in an attempt to gain the upper hand. Ultimately, Shane Morbid came through, forcing Bobby to his knees, then backing up, telling Bobby that he was about to smoke his lips. He then then delivered a devestating Shining Wizard and covered his opponent. But at the last fraction of a second, Bobby raised his shoulder enough that John the Encourager saw it. It was not a popular decision with the fans or with Shane, who was sure that he had gotten the win, but one brainbuster later, Bobby was planted in the ring and could not escape the pinfall again.

Morbid will continue to look forward to cleaning federations like ComPro and MWA of the scum that comes in to make a reputation at his expense. And all future competitors had better be prepared as Morbid has targeted that #1 spot in the Oklafan Top 50 in 2009.
