Dexter Hardaway gets P.I.N.K. slipped

Posted: Jul 4th 2006 By: CMBurnham

AACW Mid-American Light Heavyweight Champion Dexter Hardaway suffered severe punishment last Friday when SRPW X-Division Champion and Commissioner Ray Martinez fired him from the company.

Martinez came to the ring and promised that Hardaway would be punished for laying hands on him at the previous SRPW show. He called Dexter to the ring and presented him with a a notice, written on pink paper, which Dexter then showed to the crowd. It said "Dexter, you're fired!". Dexter admitted that Ray had all the authourity to do this, but also stated that he would not be leaving the arena until he had a going away party. He then attacked Martinez, giving him a Stunner, before Martinez's fellow P.I.N.K. Nation members Jack Dalton & SRPW Tag Team Champion Bobby Dalton came to the rescue. Hardaway then left through a back entrance.

Dexter has been a fixture of SRPW for most of its 3-plus year existence. He was the first SRPW Hardcore Champion and first SRPW X Division Champion. He also held the SRPW Tag Team Titles with Luc Lapointe. In recent months, Dexter has taken Jessi Jersey under his wing, training her for her upcoming confrontation with SRPW Women's Champion Lily McKenzie.

Dexter's firing from SRPW probably won't affect his wrestling schedule in Oklahoma much. He is still active in AACW. He has issues to resolve with his former Old School Assassins teammate Brad Michaels in IZW. And there is still the unresolved conflict between him and Oklahoma Old School Champion Rocco Valentino, which has been on the back burner since TPW went on hiatus.
