Armstrong's On A Roll. How Long Will It Last?

Armstrong's On A Roll. How Long Will It Last?

Slowly but surely, Tyson Armstrong has made a name for himself in the Tulsa wrestling area. Beginning his career in Arkansas and SECW, Armstrong came to ComPro, followed by rival Brett Taylor. Even though they've been around for many months, it seems that Armstrong can't shake Taylor from his shadow. And now that Taylor has a cadre of supporters, it's becoming more and more difficult to come out with the upper hand.

Never the lest, Tyson has managed to put together an enviable record this month. On April 4, Tyson downed Brett in the next chapter of their ongoing struggle. The next week, Amstrong was victorious over Jesus Rodriguez, despite Ray Martinez's attempt to get to him psychologically by cutting an anti-black promo (thinly disguised as an anti-Muskogee promo). But this past week, things stepped up as Taylor brought in the troops in the war against his former friend.

On Friday, Tyson was the victim of the 2-on-1 strategy of the Saints of Twilight. He made no excuses and accepted the loss, knowing the fans understood the circumstances. Later that evening, Armstrong came out during the TAP Title match between the Canadian Red Devil and Brett Taylor. Taylor and Armstrong exchanged an incredible amount of trash-talk, but never actually came into contact with each other. But after the Devil hit the face plant from hell and scored the pin, it was a totally different story as Armstrong hit the ring and scoop-slammed Taylor 3 times, then left the preppie performer at ringside to crawl back to the entrance.

The next night, Taylor drew an easy match against Kobra Kai. Still, it took interference from 3 men outside to gain the win. Armstrong was matched up aginst Taylor's associate Michael York and again showed his power by bodyslamming York 3 times after the match. While he has an issue with Brett Taylor in TAP, in ComPro, his focus is Cold Blooded Chris and the issue of the Bodyslam challenge. Tyson accepted C. B. C's challenge, but now it seemed that C. B. C. was backing down and trying to get out of it. Again, there was lots of trash talk and posturing, but the two men never made contact with each other.

Armstrong is scheduled to meet C. B. C. on May 9th at the next ComPro Night of Champions. Armstrong plans to on resting and training, but will still be there on the night of the show. At that time he'll show C. B. C., Brett Taylor and whoever else asks just exactly why he's moving on up the ladder of contention. Meanwhile, the other contenders are learning not to take Armstrong lightly. Unless they WANT to end up on their backs staring at the ceiling.
