Outlaw Vows To Bring Law And Order To MSWA

4 1/2 months ago, when Outlaw was made temporary commissioner of MSWA, fans were less than thrilled. On that day, he went to great lengths to show his favouritism towards certain individual and his predjudice against others. Most of those people he favoured were not fan favourites, which only served to upset the MSWA fans even more, and they were quite thankful that he only had thiis power for one day.

Perhaps retirement mellowed the veteran from Longview, TX. Or perhaps he recognised his position and the power & responsibility he held. Whatever the case, when Outlaw was announced as the new PERMANENT commissioner of MSWA, the fans' reception was much different. They welcomed him and he met their cheers with plenty of assurance that things would be different now that he was around. He promised to favour no one. He promised that title would be defended every 30 days or the holder would be stripped. He swore that he had no lingering issues with MSWA owner (and MSWA Oklahoma Champion) Bad Boy or veteran trainer Tom Jones. He made a lot of promises and set up a #1 contender's match for the MSWA Mid-South Title. But would he follow through on these promises?

The answer appeared to be yes and Outlaw wasted no time in enforcing his vision for the company. Brock Landers was scheduled to compete in the opening bout, but Outlaw cancelled that and informed him he would be refereeing the entire show. Outlaw then took his seat at ringside to observe the events. One of his first acts was to handle the antics of MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions T. M. S. During Dane Griffin's match against Romo, Griffin's fellow tag team champions Seth Allen and Max McGuirk remained at ringside to distract both Romo and the fans. After Griffin won the match, all 3 entered the ring and addressed the rumours that Tyson Jaymes was going to become the newest member of T. M. S. Outlaw chose to step up and handle this situation in a direct and authouritative way. He said that Seth, Max and Tyson would all be fined $500 for their actions (Tyson had interfered earlier in the 3rd Rail/Midnite Rider match) and that if Tyson wanted to be part of T. M. S., he should wrestle one of the members for their spot. Since Max had forgotten to bring the tag team title belts, he was chosen and the two faced off. Brock Landers again had his hands full with the other members of T. M. S. and his distraction allowed 3rd Rail to enter the ring and slam Jaymes, gaining him a little revenge and keeping Jaymes out of T. M. S. The Tag champs looked like they might confront the 400-pounder, but changed their mind after a moment, allowing Rail to pursue Tyson to the back.

More money flowed into the MSWA coffers as more fines came from Outlaw's desk. Duing a tag team match where Damien Morte teamed with TAP Champion The Canadian Red Devil against Vash Heartley & Sage, the Devil became frustrated at Brock Landers and shoved him to the ground. This prompted another $500 fine from Outlaw, who showed he was serious about maintaining law and order. Then, after Xavior attacked Kevin Morgan with a branding iron (that he received from Outlaw upon Outlaw's retirement), Outlaw fined him $1000 and suspended him from 3 shows MSWA planned outside the state.

Things didn't let up after intermission as Tyson Jaymes & 3rd Rail battled their way to the ring, forcing Outlaw to bring out the rest of the locker room to seperate them. Once the two were out of reach of each other, Outlaw promised that Rail would be able to get his hands on Jaymes, but he'd have to let Outlaw do his job and set the match up legally. He finally calmed down the irate behemoth with a Butterfinger candy bar.

By the end of show, after IZW Champion Aaron Neil had been named the #1 contender to the MSWA Mid-South Champion, Outlaw once more entered he ring. He said that he was feeling particularly generous and rescinded the fines he'd levied at T. M. S. & Tyson Jaymes. He specifically stated that the fine against Xavior remained. He didn't address the status of the fine against the Canadian Red Devil. But these actions proved that Outlaw was there to make changes and that he meant business. It seems a new age has dawned on MSWA. With Outlaw now in charge, things seem destined to get back to order and the fans can hope for more fairness in the decisions and outcomes of the matches.

Hopefully this new attitude won't disappear like a New Year's Resolution in February.
