Wrestling Fans have chance to be part of new documentary

WRESTLING FANS HAVE CHANCE TO BE PART OF NEW DOCUMENTARY

Director invites fans to have their photos featured in "The Circus"

Monday Night Videos has launched an exclusive opportunity for wrestling fans to participate in the making of a new wrestling documentary. Starting immediately, fans will be able to submit their own photos of pro wrestlers and have them be featured in "The Circus," a film which features interviews with over 30 of the most controversial wrestlers ever, including Bret Hart, Scott Steiner, The Honky Tonk Man, and many others.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for wrestling fans," said Liam Phillips, director of the film. "Being a long-time fan myself, I cannot recall a single time prior to this in which fans could see their own work be featured in a film. Countless wrestlers owe their careers and their fame to the undying support they get from fans. So what we're doing is a first. We're pairing up fans with some of the most notorious pro wrestlers of all-time."

Phillips, a TV and pay-per-view producer, has amassed over 40 hours of footage during the past four years of filming "The Circus." Photo submissions are being accepted until the December 21st deadline. Fans whose photos are featured in the documentary will receive an exclusive on-screen credit in the film.

"Wrestling today is not what it once was," said Phillips. "Fans feel ignored. As someone who grew up watching the sport, I saw an opportunity to remind people why they became a fan of wrestling in the first place. We've gotten an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the people who've seen excerpts of the film, and I'm very excited by that."

Also exciting for Phillips is the response he's been getting from fans who have heard about the upcoming documentary.

"Word of mouth is catching on fast," said Phillips. "During the filming of "The Circus", I have been getting emails from people all over the world. They hear from friends about the documentary and they can't wait to see it. A select few people have screened excerpts of the film, and their reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Fans have made it clear to us that this film is important to them, and that's why it's so crucial for us to include as many fans in this process as possible."

In order to maintain production values, only high-resolution photos will be accepted. Photos must be no less than 500 kb in size, a common size for most digital cameras. While any recent photos of WWE or TNA wrestling are welcome, Phillips says photos from the past are even more welcome, especially of those wrestlers who are no longer with us.
