Steve O named co-commissioner of IZW due to some legal maneuvers

Mike Iles was named IZW Commissioner on October 27, 2007. Nearly one year on the job, he now has a partner. Not a partner he probably wanted though. Steve O was named co-commissioner on October 18th due to some legal maneuvers by IZW owner & IZW Tag Team Champion Johnny Z.

During Iles' tenure as commissioner, he has played a heavy hand towards Impact, Inc. and their constant rule of terror. Iles has been a constant thorn in the side of all members of Impact, Inc. Johnny Z has threatened time and time again to get things changed and to have Iles removed from IZW. His lawyers finally found a loophole and Johnny Z was able to name a co-commissioner and turned to longtime friend and former IZW ring announcer Steve O. Johnny Z hand delivered a copy of the legal papers to Iles as he was announcing that BLK-OUT would be taking on Impact, Inc. in a non-title match at "Halloween Hangover".

Steve O had been the manager of Randy Price since Price became an active member of the IZW roster after being a referee. Prior to that he was ring announcer for IZW and also ACW. Now with Steve O in charge of at least half of the IZW events, Johnny Z won't have to continue looking over his shoulder.

Steve O made an immediate impact as he put BLK-OUT in a match with Shane Rawls & Shawn Sanders and he allowed Johnny Z & fellow IZW Tag Team Champion Bernie D to sit at ringside for the match. After referee Rob Justice was knocked out during the fracas, Impact, Inc. hit the ring and tried to attack BLK-OUT using Bernie D's loaded shoe. The attack was thwarted and BLK-OUT picked up the victory. Johnny Z & Bernie D then began attacking Sanders and Johnny Z fired Sanders...again.

After Aaron Neil defeated IZW Impact Division Champion Seth Allen in the main event to secure the final spot in the Triple Threat Match at "Halloween Hangover", Steve O came out and said he had a match for Neil at next week's show but would not reveal the opponent.

So with half of Iles' power usurped, how will that affect the overall IZW product? Will Steve O rule fairly? Is Steve O merely a puppet for Johnny Z? How long will Iles stand for it until he finally snaps and possibly walks off the job? Only time will tell and answer all these questions and more.

This coming Saturday is the final show before "Halloween Hangover". Tickets for all IZW shows is just $5, and that is the best value for your wrestling dollar. "Halloween Hangover" tickets will be the same price as well. The show starts at 7pm at The Impact Arena at 1009 SW F Ave. in Lawton. Tell your neighbors, tell your family, tell your friends...you probably should even tell your enemies. Get any form of transportation you can, but just get there.
