Aaron Neil returns to IZW, but not to Impact, Inc.

Posted: Jul 8th 2008 By: mikeiles

Aaron Neil hasn't competed in an IZW ring since August 2007. When he left IZW, he also left his membership card to Impact, Inc. at the door. He has returned to IZW, and now we all know where he stands.

Aaron Neil is the only 2-time IZW Heavyweight Champion. While that seems to be rather dubious, it doesn't seem to be enough for "The Real Deal". He arrived unannounced on June 28th and hit current IZW Champion Angel Williams with a chair. Apparently, that was just enough announcement he felt he needed. But what were Neil's intentions? That was the question on the minds of the IZW fans, and more importantly, Angel Williams.

As Jesse Storm was starting the IZW show on July 5th, Angel Williams interrupted the proceedings. He demanded that Aaron Neil come out to the ring to explain his actions. Neil obliged and came out and said he only had one thing on his mind, and that was the IZW Heavyweight Title. Angel said that he was ready for a fight if Neil wanted one. As the two were about to square off, IZW Commissioner Mike Iles came out to put a stop to the potential fight. He said that no one in IZW had seen or heard from Aaron in several months. Iles continued saying that although Aaron is a 2-time champion, there was no way he was going to allow Aaron to walk back into IZW and receive an immediate title shot. Angel said he didn't care, he was ready. Iles asked Neil why he returned. The Impact, Inc. music began and it seemed to become clear.

John Zorthos, Bernie Donderwitz, and Michael Barry welcomed Aaron back into IZW and Commissioner Iles looked visibly upset at the proceedings. Impact, Inc. said it was obvious why Aaron has returned, and that was to rejoin Impact, Inc. Aaron corrected them by saying he never said he was back in Impact, Inc. He said that for as long as he was IZW Champion, no matter who he defeated, there was still one of the best in Oklahoma he hadn't faced, and that person was Angel Williams. So he said that he was after one thing, and one thing only, and that was to defeat Angel Williams for the IZW Title.

That didn't sit too well with Impact, Inc. as they had designs on the title themselves, most notably for Michael Barry. Bernie Donderwitz told Aaron that he either needed to get on the Impact, Inc Express or get run over by it. Aaron said he would have their answer soon and left the ring. Iles then said it was time to get the show started and ordered everyone back to the locker room.

The 3rd match of the night was the 6-Man Tag Team Match setup by Commissioner Iles the week before. It pitted Impact, Inc. (Donderwitz, Zorthos, & Barry) against IZW Champion Angel Williams & IZW Tag Team Champions Striker & Nathan Sensation. All 6 men dished out abuse to their opponents throughout the match. As Striker & Sensation brawled with Zorthos & Donderwitz all the way to the back, Angel had Barry in the ring and as he drove him towards the ropes, Brieanna Bringle got up on the apron and swung her fist with a chain at Barry, who ducked. The chain hit Angel and Barry picked up the pinfall. But he wasn't finished either and continued pummeling the champ.

Aaron Neil then came from the back. He got in the ring, picked up the IZW Heavyweight Title and handed it to Barry who then got a chair and sat across Angel's chest with it taunting him. Barry & Neil shook hands. It apeared that Impact, Inc. got the answer they wanted.

But Neil then cracked Barry with the chair and left him laying in the ring. It became apparent that Aaron Neil wants nothing to do with Impact, Inc. He wants the IZW Heavyweight Title, plain and simple.

Current champion Angel Williams is now going to be fighting a two front war with attacks coming from both Aaron Neil and Michael Barry. Williams is a fighting champion and takes on all comers. This unfortunately could become his downfall.

Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
In the opening match, Dustin Heritage defeated Se7en. Heritage had a successful rookie year and this year he has been in the thick of the Impact Title chase. A win over a proven veteran like Se7en continues his promising year.

The feud between Tyson Jaymes and Se7en is far from over. After Jaymes defeated Impact Division Champion Kenny Campbell in a non-title match, Se7en and Carnage attacked Jaymes. After Carnage gave Jaymes two choke slams and was about to give him a third, Jermaine Johnson came to the rescue of Jaymes and chased off Carnage & Se7en. But even then, it wasn't over. The first match after intermission saw Johnson take on hard luck competitor Austin Tacious, who although seems to have the tools to succeed, always comes up on the short end. Johnson got the win, but was then attacked by Carnage and was given a choke slam. Austin thought he might have a partner so to speak. He and Carnage shook hands, then Austin was choke slammed as well. Carnage followed up that with a Samoan Drop on Johnson.

The main event was scheduled to be John O'Malley vs. Randy Price. Before the show, O'Malley was attacked by Price and his manager Steve O. O'Malley was taken to the hospital and it was announced later that O'Malley would be unable to compete. This irritated Commissioner Iles, who then forced Price to wrestle IZW Tag Team Champion Striker. The match was brute force versus speed, but the chicanery of Steve O proved to be the difference maker. Price got the win and continues an impressive rookie year.

Who will Angel Williams face next? How will Impact, Inc. react to Aaron Neil turning down membership? Who will win out in the Se7en-Tyson Jaymes feud? Will the bad blood between Impact, Inc. and Nathan Sensation & Striker result in a Tag team Title change? Where does Brieanna Bringle stand in all of this? These questions can only be answered at The Impact Arena at the IZW show. The Impact Arena is at 5325 S. Penn Ave. That is just a few miles north of I-240 on Penn. Bell time is 7pm and admission is only $5 and that is the best value for your wrestling dollar. Don't miss it!

IZW...FEEL THE IMPACT!!!
