Shadow of Death's Motivations Unclear As Usual

His ways have always been mysterious. He doesn't talk. He simply stares and growls. And since ComPro began running regularly in Tulsa again, he has been focused on members of New Canada. But the Shadow of Death may be branching out, based on events from this past week. Or perhaps he just wanted to have some fun.
SOD has been the guiding force behind the ComPro Tag Team Title reign of The Canadian Luchadore & TAP Champion The Canadian Red Devil. Their popularity has grown and it seemed that over time, his approach to management and motivation softened. No more beatings occurred after the Luchadore lost a match. And the losses also lessened. This is not to say that New Canada went undefeated. They still suffered some pinfalls. But for the most part, they have been highly successful champions.
Recently, The Gentlemen Thugs have assumed the postition as the #1 contenders to the tag team championship. They haven't been able to wrest those belts away yet and many credit SOD's presence at ringside as a very effective counter to the periodic appearances of Boss Campbell. This past week, Cast-Iron Cothern was making an appearance at a show in California, so Shane Morbid was left to handle business on his own. And to say he was successful is an understatement.
Shane faced off against the Canadian Red Devil. While both men are thought of as tag team competitors currently, they have extensive singles backgrounds. And Shane has made no secret of wanting to earn opportunities for the ComPro Title. A long battle between the 2 men saw Shane upend the Devil for the win. But the interesting point came after the 3-count was made, as SOD turned his back on his charge and left the ringside area. No explanation. No interaction. He just left.
And he didn't come back out during The Canadian Luchadore's match against Dutch Hagen. Hagen has been struggling since making his debut. He handles himself in the ring well, but lacks that experience that would allow him to have a better win-loss record. With SOD not present, there was no one to counter the sudden appearance of Shane Morbid. Morbid kept to himself for most of the match, but eventually kicked the Luchadore in the head, allowing Dutch to make the pin and score the 2nd win of his career.
When SOD did finally make a reappearance, it was during the match between Sudden Impact 2 & TAP Oklahoma Heritage Champion Tim Rockwell. What SOD's interest in this match was is unclear, but his presence certainly unnerved Rockwell's manager, Big Stevie Caballero. SOD didn't stick around for the whole match and had left by the time Caballero decided to trip SI2 and hold his legs from outside so Rockwell could gain a pin.
It seems the tag team picture is becoming very interesting and there are almost as many questions as answers when it comes to the motivations of some of the ComPro superstars. At this point, no one is talking with explanations. But with the next Night of Champions just 1 month away, it seems certain that everyone is taking the step he needs to in order to put championship gold in his grasp.
