Tool & Donderwitz vs. Zorthos & Michaels at "Evolution" in a Lumberjack Match

Tool & Donderwitz vs. Zorthos & Michaels at "Evolution" in a Lumberjack Match

Posted: Jun 3rd 2008 By: mikeiles

It's official! Gary Tool puts his career on the line and John Zorthos puts his company on the line. IZW's "Evolution" just got even more interesting.

The IZW show this past weekend started off with a contract signing for "Evolution" with Gary Tool & Bernie Donderwitz wanting to face John Zorthos & Brad Michaels. It was revealed that it was Michaels that was stalking Tool's pregnant wife along with Zorthos. Tool had already agreed to retire if he and Bernie lost the match. Just as the contract was to be signed, IZW Commissioner Mike Iles came out to interrupt the proceedings. He said that if Tool wanted to put his career on the line, he had no problem with that, but he said that Johnny Z needed to up the ante as well. Iles said that if Zorthos wanted the match he had to put up control of IZW as well. After some hemming and hawing, Zorthos finally relented. Iles produced a contract stating the stipulations. He then turned his attention to Brad Michaels. He reminded Bad Brad that he lost the Loser Must Retire/Dog Collar Match to John O'Malley back at "March Mayhem" and had no business in the ring whatsoever. Iles reminded Zorthos that rules had to be followed especially when Zorthos himself complained that Iles broke the rules regarding the reinstatement of Mitch Carter. Iles refused to allow Michaels in the match, until Gary Tool himself spoke up. He reminded Iles that they go back several years and have been friends for quite some time. Tool asked Iles to allow Michaels to wrestle as a favor to him. After much deliberation, Iles relented and changed the contract on the spot to include Brad Michaels as Johnny Z's partner, but he reiterated that Michaels was only reinstated for "Evolution". Michaels would not be allowed to wrestle before or after. Iles then told the 4 combatants that he himself put in another stipulation as it would also be a Lumberjack Match. Then all hell broke loose as Tool, Donderwitz, Michaels, and Zorthos began brawling. Iles was accidentally shoved down by Tool and the locker room emptied. Iles, visibly angry at the 4 wrestlers, announced that he was sending home all the referees with pay and Tool, Donderwitz, Michaels, and Zorthos would be officiating. The four did officiate the matches and surprisingly, none showed any favortism in the match the officiated.

So the stage has been set. It's Gary Tool & Bernie Donderwitz vs. John Zorthos & Brad Michaels in a Lumberjack Match. If Zorthos & Michaels win, Gary Tool must retire. If Tool & Donderwitz win, they get control of IZW.

Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
Austin Tacious picked up his first win in Oklahoma by defeating Nathan Sensation. However, it appeared that Sensation was not at 100% as he had his shoulder wrapped with a bandage and had red whelps on his back.

Former IZW referee-turned-wrestler Randy Price continued his winning ways by defeating John O'Malley for the second time in 4 weeks. He attacked O'Malley before the bell with a chair to the leg and picked up a cheap win, at least in this reporter's opinion. Most of Price's win have been questionable at best.

The 4 entrants in the "Evolution" Ladder Match for the vacant Impact Division Title have a lot of hatred for each other. This week we saw Dustin Heritage & Seth Allen taking on Jermaine Johnson & Kenny Campbell. The match ended in a No Contest when all 4 wrestlers began brawling with one another, including with their partner for the night. The brawl spilled to the floor then Mitch Carter joined the fracas as well.

Michael Barry has possession of the IZW Heavyweight Title and demanded that ring announcer Jesse Storm announce his match with Tyson Jaymes as a title defense which Jesse did, although reluctantly. John Zorthos was the official of the match and actually called the match down the middle. After Barry defeated Jaymes, he then called out the real Heavyweight Champion, Angel Williams. Barry was sure that Williams was not in the building, but the lights went out and Angel's music began playing. When the lights came back on, local wrestler Ronnie Storm (no relation to Jesse) was in the ring wearing a bald cap on his head and apparently wearing Angel's wrestling singlet. After Barry and Storm high fived each other because they fooled the fans, Barry speared Storm then delivered a thunderous TKO. As Zorthos & Barry continued attacking Storm and Tyson Jaymes, Bernie Donderwitz & Gary Tool hit the ring to attack Zorthos & Barry. The odds were even until Brad Michaels hit the ring. After getting the advantage over Tool & Donderwitz, Bad Brad got a table and set it up in the ring. They then irish whipped Tool into the table which broke in two. Impact, Inc. gloated as the left the ring and the show came to a close.

"Evolution" is a little over a week away. There are already 4 huge matches that have been announced including IZW Heavyweight Champion Angel Williams defending the title against former WWE Superstar Al Snow!. Could there be more matches in store? Check out IZW this Saturday at The Impact Arena at 5325 S. Penn Avenue in Oklahoma City. The Impact Arena is just a few miles north of I-240 on Penn. Admission is just $5 and as always, that is the best value for your wrestling dollar. Plus you can pre-order your "Evolution" tickets as well and that admission is only $5 as well. Bell time is 7pm. Don't miss it!

IZW...FEEL THE IMPACT!!!
