Brandon Bishop loses title shot and friendship of Impact, Inc.

Posted: Apr 24th 2006 By: oklastaff

Brandon Bishop and IZW owner John Zorthos were the final two combatants in a battle royal on April 15 to determine the #1 contender to the IZW Championship, held by fellow Impact, Inc. member Aaron Neil. Bishop & Zorthos celebrated the fact they were the final two, and then talked some trash to a fallen Brad Michaels. Zorthos, while rubbing Michaels elimination in his face, forgot that the match was still under way and turned his back on Bishop long enough for Bishop to put friendship & partnership aside for a brief moment and eliminate the IZW Owner.

Backstage, fans watched on the big screen as Bernie Donderwitz, Aaron Neil, John Zorthos & Battle Royale winner Brandon Bishop discussed what needed to transpire later in the Title match between Bishop & Aaron. Bishop was overly excited about his title shot and couldn?t wait to face Aaron Neil for the belt, but Zorthos obviously had different plans. Bishop & Zorthos went off screen to discuss what Zorthos had in mind. Bishop was obviously upset with Zorthos? plans, but accepted it.

Aaron Neil made his way to the ring with a look of confidence and it was quickly learned why as Bishop laid down for Aaron and allowed a pinfall. The only problem was Bishop kicked out at two and a half. Aaron looked shocked, and Bishop looked as if he truly did not want to lie down. After another failed attempt to lie down for Aaron, Bishop took a long look at the IZW title Belt and then made his decision much to the chagrin of Aaron Neil. They locked up for the IZW Championship. A fair balanced match ensued with either champion or challenger gaining a true upper hand. Only a few minutes into the match IZW Owner and Impact Inc. leader John Zorthos with Bernie Donderwitz hit the ringside area & questioned Bishop as to what he thought he was doing. This distraction enabled Aaron to attack Bishop from behind, hit a quick DDT and score the pinfall. After the match Zorthos, Aaron & Bernie made it clear that Bishop was no longer a part of their faction by beating him into the canvas for several minutes. Zorthos finally lowered the boom and fired his former best friend and partner from IZW. Without Impact Inc. in his corner and obvious broken ties with Commissioner Gary Tool, it appears as though this will be the last time we see Brandon Bishop in IZW.

Later in the night IZW fans saw on the Big screen as Ray Martinez attempted to interview an obviously irate Bishop as he left the venue.

This is not the first time that Bishop has been fired from IZW. He was released by Commissioner Gary Tool back in December after he attacked Tool before intermission. This led to their Dog Collar Match in March.
