Outlaw Demands Final Roundup For Midnite Rider
Posted: May 4th 2008 By: CMBurnham
MSWA Oklahoma Champion Outlaw thought he had everything handled. He had challenged his former partner Bad Boy to a match where the loser had to retire. He'd won that match. He got to keep the belt and his biggest problem was gone from wrestling. Then, because he was forced to defend that title every 30 days, he brought up a handpicked opponent, the Midnite Rider. But that opponent turned out not to be the pushover he was counting on and at the end of their match 2 weeks ago, the Rider stole the Oklahoma Title belt and left with it.
That was as far as the situation had gone when Outlaw came out on April 27 to join Jesse Storm and address the MSWA fans. Outlaw was irate, demanding to know where his belt was. He also told anyone within the sound of his voice that the Midnite Rider was actually MSWA owner Mike Crawford aka Bad Boy. He was sure that everyone knew that and they were all in on the conspiracy against him. He said he was made to look like a fool and that the Rider stole his belt. He promised that there would be justice for these actions. Then, not ever one to accept responsibility for his actions, he began to blame other people such as Tom Jones and MSWA commissioner Halo. This brought the commish out, but Outlaw didn't back down. He insisted that Bad Boy be suspended for dressing as the Midnite Rider. Halo said that Oulaw had no proof. While they were arguing, the Golden Goose mascot appeared at ringside and began to throw candy and toys to the kids in the crowd. After he was done with that, he turned his attention to Outlaw, getting into the ring and taunting him. The Rider's music began to play and, with Outlaw distracted and waiting for the Rider to appear in hopes of getting his belt back, the Goose unmasked and revealed himself to be...Aaron Neil! Neil promised to be everywhere that Outlaw went until he could get a title shot. He even said that Outlaw wouldn't be able to buy Viagra without having to look over his back to see if Neil was there.
At this point, Bad Boy strolled into the arena, dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and looking relaxed and tan. Halo informed the crowd that Bad Boy had just returned from a month in Las Vegas. Outlaw insisted that Bad Boy had been at the last show under the mask, but Bad Boy denied being the Midnite Rider. He did, however, propose a match: Bad Boy vs. Outlaw. If Bad Boy won, his retirement would be lifted and he would get a title shot. Amazingly, Outlaw agreed to this and Halo made it official.
When it came time for the match, it was just as out of control as their last match had been. Both men laid into each other like there was no time left. There wasn't much actual wrestling, but there was plenty of fighting. Outlaw dug into his tights to bring out the loaded black glove, but Bad Boy ducked it and the action spilled outside the ring. When it appeared that Outlaw was about the put Crawford away, Tom Jones and Max McGuirk stepped forward and invited Outlaw to kiss their asses! This distraction was all Bad Boy needed to roll up Outlaw and make the pin.
So it was official. Bad Boy was back on the active roster and he would receive a shot at the Oklahoma Title. Halo was even quick to announce that the match would take place at the next MSWA show on May 11. But in a startling announcement, Halo changed the match from a standard 1-on-1 match to a Triple Threat Match and announced that the third opponent would be...the Midnite Rider!
If the Rider is indeed Bad Boy as many people suspect, then it will be extremely difficult for him to be in this match as he will have to be 2 people at once. But perhaps this will finally prove to Outlaw that Bad Boy is NOT the Rider. Other people through wrestling history have been accused of being the Midnite Rider, but they've never been officially named. What will happen this time? And who will walk out Oklahoma Champion? With 2 opponents, one of whom he may not know much about, it's almost impossible to prepare. And in a Triple Threat Match, the champion can lose the title without being pinned, making it all the more difficult for Outlaw to expect to walk out with his gold still intact. Assuming he does make it out as champion, he'll have several other opponents to worry about, including former champion Aaron Neil. Perhaps now would be a good time for Outlaw to heed the opening line of the Rider's theme song and "run to keep from hiding". Otherwise all the silver dollars in the world won't save him.
