Posted: Apr 15th 2008 By: CMBurnham

COMPOUND Pro Wrestling ? is proud to announce that the ?Night of Champions VI? event set an all time COMPOUND attendance record. An incredible 142 tickets were sold. Including those fans with promotional tickets, over 150 COMPOUND supporters were on hand to witness Romero Contreras defeat All Action Anthony Jackson in a ?kendo stick, chains, ladders, and tables? match. This is the second time in the past four weeks that COMPOUND has surpassed the 100 tickets sold benchmark.

COMPOUND Pro Wrestling?s inaugural event occurred on August 26, 2006, with a show in Tulsa?s Veteran?s Park. That show was part of a burger grill-off festival sponsored by Backyard Burgers?. Since then, COMPOUND has promoted more than 40 live wrestling events in cities all over Oklahoma, including: Tulsa, Wagoner, and Coweta. In 2008, COMPOUND began a partnership with Sheridan Avenue Christian Church to run weekly Saturday night shows in their meeting hall. Just this previous month, earnings from COMPOUND professional wrestling events covered the majority of the Church?s budget.

COMPOUND Pro Wrestling plans to continue helping the community by running a benefit for the Thomas A. Edison Preparatory School wrestling club of Tulsa on Friday, April 25. The event will be held at Sheridan Avenue Christian Church, located at 315 South Sheridan in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tickets to this event will be on sale this Saturday night, April 19th, at COMPOUND?s regular show for a discounted price of $7. The price will be $10 at the door the night of the show.
