Can the Devil Make It Three In A Row?

On March 17, 2008, The Canadian Red Devil passed his 1-year anniversary of being the FCW Champion. 5 days later, he made history as the 1st TAP Champion. This Saturday he has the chance to complete the hat trick by defeating ComPro Champion Anthony Jackson in a Title-Vs-Title match and being the first person to hold 3 titles in 3 federations since Rocco Valentino.
Valentino was the man that the Devil defeated for the FCW Title and, while FCW has not run more than a handful of shows since that event, the Devil has been there for every one and has put his title on the line against the likes of Michael York and El Super Colibri. His one-year title reign is a rarity in the state, due to the high level of competition.
Obviously, being champion of a part-time federation wasn't enough for him, so in the main event of the first TAP show, the Devil faced off against Matt Emerald. The Devil probably thought he had an easy shot at the belt, as Emerald had not been a regular competitor in Oklahoma rings since September. But that time off seemed to reignited a fire in Emerald, as he took the fight straight to the man from Medicine Hat, Alberta. But it wasn't enough and when the bell rang, the Devil walked out as a dual champion.
That wasn't the end for the Devil though, as he headed from Muskogee over to Tulsa for the ComPro show and was matched up against Sudden Impact 1. Unlike the more aggressive side the Devil showed at the TAP show, here he was back to his fan-friendly self and the battle of the masked men was a good and even event. But the turning point came when ComPro Tag Team Champions La M and their manager Ray Martinez came out and, while Ray distracted referee Tommy 3 Count, El Choppo & Jesus Rodriguez took the tire iron to the Devil's midsection, then laid Sudden Impact on top, allowing him to get the win. After the bell, a 3-on-1 beatdown began, until the Devil's fellow Canadian, the Canadian Luchadore and his manager, the Shadow of Death, arrived to stand up to the Mexican faction.
The Devil is now faced with an uphill battle. When he made a run for the ComPro Title in late 2007 against Anthony Jackson, he was at 100% health and still came up just short of winning the belt. Now, the Devil has reported on the ComPro message board that he suffered some internal injuries as a result of La M's attack and may have to appoint a substitute in his title defence. This, combined with the FACT that Jackson has not lost a 1-on-1 match by pinfall or submission since winning the ComPro Title, makes it something of a long shot for the Devil to come out victorious. But if anyone can pull out a miracle, it just might be the Devil, and the gold might be almost too much for him to deal with.
