Jimmy Garvin awarded the 2026 Jack Brisco Red Belt Award

Posted: Apr 27th 2026 By: George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hal

#Congratulations to Jimmy Garvin the 2026 Jack Brisco Red Belt Recipient!

Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin carved out a memorable career as one of wrestling’s most charismatic heels, blending swagger, showmanship, and sharp in-ring psychology. Breaking in during the late 1960s, he became a standout in territories like Florida and the AWA before hitting his stride in World Class Championship Wrestling, where his feuds—often fueled by his partnership with Precious—made him a top attraction. Across more than three decades, Garvin collected multiple regional and national titles and left a legacy built on personality, heat-drawing ability, and a flair that made him one of the defining characters of the territorial era.

The Jack Brisco Red Belt Award is named after the legendary Jack Brisco, an NCAA champion and two-time All-American at Oklahoma State University and member of the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. It recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry in various roles, whether as wrestlers, trainers, commentators, or mentors.
