WWE ID wrestler Cappuccino Jones told Opinion City Podcasts that Sean “X-Pac” Waltman and Booker T have been two of his wrestling mentors: “Let’s be talking about Sean Waltman, X-Pac. He’s like one of my biggest mentors. I’ve learned so much from him. Really, he’s someone who really has taught me to just be myself, be an artist. You know, I’m an artist at heart, I think we all are. Wrestling’s an art form at the end of the day. He’s really good about reminding me that it’s – just be yourself, just be loose out there. Booker T as well. I wrestle at Reality of Wrestling quite often. I’ve had so many matches there. And Booker T has so many good – he’s really good at the details. All these guys, Booker T, X-Pac – it’s no accident that they were stars for their whole careers.”

Ricky Saints’ controversial concert segment from the March 3rd episode of “NXT” has reportedly been removed from the company’s official social media platforms following a negative response from fans. The segment, promoted as “The Ricky Saints Absolute Experience,” featured Saints performing a live concert on “NXT”. While the concept mirrored similar segments previously done by stars like Joe Hendry and The Rock, the performance failed to resonate with viewers. According to Fightful Select, WWE decided to remove the clip after it drew significant criticism online. The report also noted that the idea for the segment did not originate from Saints himself. Sources indicated that Saints was involved in helping shape the segment, but has been actively trying to steer his character away from elements that could invite comparisons to The Rock.

Kevin Nash has criticised C. M. Punk’s controversial promo about Roman Reigns’ late father, Sika. Speaking on “Kliq This”, Nash said he “absolutely hated” the line about burying Reigns next to his father and called it inappropriate, adding that he hoped whoever approved it would face consequences. Nash also suggested the remark likely went through WWE creative rather than being improvised by Punk, but said he would rather not dwell on the moment further.

John Morrison recently opened up about being the replacement for Chris Benoit at “WWE Vengeance 2007”: "So we're at ‘Vengeance 2007’, not everyone's there. It's a pay-per-view, but I happen to be there. The ECW roster didn't have a lot of representation at that particular event. Say call time, I think it was maybe 2pm. I was like a standby. I was booked to be there, maybe have a dark match, I don't know. So, say call time is 1pm, everything's fine. I'm just in catering. Around 3pm, I hear Chris Benoit hasn't showed up, and if he doesn’t show up, I might need to fill in or something. Okay, sure he'll be there though, it's Chris. 4:30/5pm, me and Mordecai - Kevin Thorne - get called into talent relations, the two of us, and we're told, 'Hey, can't get hold of Chris Benoit. He's not here, and if he's not here in another hour or two, it's going to be one of you two guys versus C. M. Punk. We don't want to let the crowd down by having the replacement lose. So whoever it is between you two is gonna win.' So we kind of like both looked at each other like, 'I hope it's me.' I don't know who made that decision with that call (for Morrison to win), but I'd had a lot more TV time consistently than he had up to that point. Whoever made that decision? Thank you. I agree. Good call. So we have that talk, and then I spend the next two hours pacing, hoping that Chris Benoit does not show up. Walked out to the parking garage a couple of times, just to see if I saw a car coming. I didn't. Then the pay-per-view started, put my tights on. The whole time I'm like, 'Oh my god, Chris Benoit is gonna show up, and this is gonna get squashed, and I'll just be back to business as normal.' He doesn’t show up, though, and we have the match. I wrestle C. M. Punk. It was a great match, Punk and I had several after that, leading to eventually the two of us having great chemistry. The first couple were a little clunky, but still fun. So I win the ECW Championship, and it was one of those. This morning, I thought I was just coming to this pay-per-view to eat catering and hang out, didn't really have anything going on TV storyline-wise. To tonight, now ECW World Champion, the writers are all asking me questions. They're going to start writing the show around me and, holy crap, this is the best night ever. Then the next day, we get the news about Benoit and what happened. I felt like crap. I felt so guilty just for being happy with something that came to be because of the tragedy we've heard about and talked about ad nauseam. It's still tough for me to be happy about how everything came about. I'm happy that I got that match and my career took a huge turn upwards because of everything. It's just a very confusing thing to benefit from a tragedy, even if you really had nothing to do with it. Because up to that point, as far as I knew, I thought Chris and his family were just very nice people, and Chris I thought was nice to a point. He always liked me, I think, and respected me, because he could tell that I liked wrestling and that's what I was there for, but he was one of the guys that was kind of going to weed you out if he didn't like you, or if anyone thought you had an attitude problem, you're gonna have to deal with him. I kind of felt like it was cool that he saw me in regard to the fact that I did like wrestling then, I like wrestling now, more than that, I loved it, and I still love it. And as mentioned, confusing, like talking in circles about it."
Many of you have seen the video from Thursday night’s OVW show where referee Dallas Edwards went into convulsions during a match. He took a planned bump off a crossbody by Brendan Balling and laid there. Everyone kept doing what they were scheduled to do. Then he started convulsing. They continued to do what they were scheduled to do including Evans using his feet to move Edwards out of the way so he could keep doing whatever it was he planned to do. Edwards was convulsing and it was very clear they needed to stop everything. Eventually, way late, everyone stopped what they were doing in sensing the magnitude of what happened. His girlfriend posted about a brain injury later but didn’t go into further detail. OVW is run by Al Snow, and there is the natural inclination to blame him even more because it was under his watch and because he’s been such a critic of safety standards in AEW under Tony Khan and it literally couldn’t make him look worse. It was inexperienced guys who just didn’t react fast enough to what was happening. Usually it’s the job of the referee in these situations to call it off, but it was the referee who was having the emergency. But the video is around, everyone reacted too slow and Evans in particular looked very bad. Going forward, this should be used as a learning tool at all levels of pro wrestling for what not to do. If someone is having a clear medical issue, the match needs to be stopped immediately. They did stop wrestling but the reaction took far too much time.
Sherilyn Guerrero interviewed Mick Foley about his memories of her late father Eddie, which you can watch by clicking url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7kMMjohnRc]here[/url].
While speaking to Paul Rieckhoff, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley discussed his public criticism of United States President Donald Trump: “I don’t speak out that much as far as the videos I do. There was one right before the election, and a couple now about ICE. The crazy thing is there are so many terrible things this president has us involved in—whether it’s pretending to go to war in Greenland, talking about going to war in Iran, or just indiscriminately bombing. I don’t mean to laugh, but I think he’s like a kid with a shiny new toy who realizes the military’s at his disposal. I’m not kidding when I say there might be some elder abuse going on at the hands of Stephen Miller—just in my opinion, I want to say might be. If you know the situation with Brian Wilson being under almost like the spell of this Eugene Landy guy for decades, here’s Stephen Miller, a persuasive speaker. He looks like Roy Cohn’s love child, so maybe Donald Trump sees something in him. If people knew what an awful guy Roy Cohn was and that Trump was his protégé, it might have given them reason to pause. We’re in a tough situation here. Going back to the video I did about Trump before the election, I mentioned this whole idea of the ‘enemy from within.’ He was basically saying he was going to do what he’s doing now—attacking people indiscriminately, arresting people. Like Jesse Ventura said, and this is his quote, ‘We’re a third-world country.’ When you’ve got an armed military member on every street corner, that’s the sign of a third-world country. He said he knows because he’s been there—the Philippines was the example, when Ferdinand Marcos took over. All of a sudden, boom, there’s a military presence everywhere. I think there’s reason to believe he’s just getting the American public used to the idea of the military being on our streets. So when he declares something, we’re already conditioned. And the point I was going to make is that there’s so much craziness going on around the president that the inhumane treatment of migrants isn’t even in the top five things people are talking about. I think there’s a major reason to suspect that every time the Epstein Files start heating up, he creates a diversion. And as a person who, in my opinion, lacks the ability to have compassion for others—completely lacking in empathy—it’s a shame we’re at a state in our country where empathy is seen as a weakness, when it’s actually our strength. It’s what prevents us from being monsters… or worse.”

During a recent interview with “The Stunner”, Paul Walter Hauser, the Emmy-winning actor known for “Black Bird” and “Richard Jewell,” revealed he is officially attached to portray WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley in a limited TV series. However, it should be noted that the exciting project is in its early stages and not yet sold to a network, meaning it could be several years before the biographical drama hits fans’ screens. While in the past wrestler biographies had limited appeal and success, with the infamous “The Jesse Ventura Story” in 1999 heavily criticized for inaccuracies, the 2023 film “The Iron Claw” totally changed this perception, proving there was a market. And while scripted efforts on the lives of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair have stalled, it is understood that a feature biopic on “Macho Man” Randy Savage is currently in development, suggesting there could be a race to see which project can come out first.

Some of the other feds he worked for were Arkansas Pro Wrestling in Arkansas, Central States Wrestling in Kansas, High Voltage Wrestling in Illinois, and World Wrestling Express in Kansas, among others. He is survived by his wife Jackie and their three sons.
Oklafan is saddened to report the death of Dennis Condrey, who passed away March 20th after suffering a broken neck and collapsed lung after a fall at his home. He was 74 years old. Condrey, who also competed as Danny Condrey and Masked Mr. Pro, was trained by his brother-in-law Joe Turner and began his career in 1973 in Nick Gulas' territory in Tennessee and while he had success as a singles competitor, his primary claim to fame would come in tag team competition across his career. In 1976, he would team with Phil Hickerson and form The Bicentennial Kings, so named because of the United States celebrating 200 years of existence. Together, they would hold the AWA Southern Tag Team Titles 8 times, the NWA Southeast Tag Team Titles 3 times, and the NWA United States Tag Team Titles 5 times. After that partnership dissolved, Condrey would find success when teamed with Randy Rose (who was billed as his cousin, but it's unclear whether that is a legitimate relationship or not) and Norvell Austin as the original group named The Midnight Express. Rose & Condrey would hold the NWA Southeast Tag Team Titles 10 times as well as 2 more AWA Southern Tag Team Titles. Then in 1983, Condrey was part of a huge talent exchange between Jerry Jarrett and Bill Watts. Watts would go on to put Condrey together with Bobby Eaton and give them Jim Cornette as a manager (Cornette had briefly managed Condrey in Tennessee) and dub them The Midnight Express. This would skyrocket the careers of all 3 of them. The Midnight Express would immediately be put into a feud with Magnum T. A. & Mr. Wrestling II, who held the Mid-South Tag Team Titles. They would win those titles on March 13, 1984 in a match where the loser received 10 lashes after II abandoned T. A. They held the belts until May 2nd 1984 when they lost them to their greatest rivals, The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson). But they quickly regained them 3 weeks later, on May 23rd in a No DQ Match where Cornette put up $50,000 against the titles. This title run lasted until September 1st when The Rock-N-Roll Express regained the belts.
The Midnight Express then left MSW and went down to WCCW where they immediately challenged The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) for the WCCW American Tag Team Titles. They quickly beat The Fantastics for those belts. They held the belts until March 8, 1985 when Cornette interfered in a match and the belts were held up. The Fantastics regained them by defeating them on May 6, 1985 in a 2-ring No DQ Match.
The Midnight Express then went to the NWA and again engaged in a feud with The Rock-N-Roll Express for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. They would trade the belts in 1986. After that, The Midnight Express would feud with The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal), culminating in a Scaffold Match at Starrcade '86. But then Condrey left the team in early 1987. He made no announcement to Cornette or Eaton, much less anyone in NWA management. At the time, he said that he was just burned out on the business, but it later came out that Condrey wanted The Midnight Express to go to the WWF (there had been feelers sent out to them), but Cornette and Eaton weren't interested. After some time off, Condrey would sign with the AWA, reuniting with Randy Rose and reforming The Midnight Express (now dubbed The Original Midnight Express) and given Paul E. Dangerously as their manager. They beat Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee for the AWA World Tag Team Titles and held them for 2 months before losing them to The Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty). Then, The Original Midnight Express signed with the NWA and began a feud with Cornette's Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane). This feud carried over into 1989, but then there was management change in the NWA, as Dusty Rhodes was replaced as head booker by George Scott. Scott had some previous animosity with Randy Rose and Jim Crockett, Jr. wasn't thrilled with Condrey after he walked out before. So the feud was cooled off and a Loser-Leaves-Town match was scheduled for the two teams to eliminate one (and allegedly bury the other). And again, Condrey could sense what was about to take place and left the territory before the match could take place. Condrey would go back to the Continental Wrestling Federation and win their Heavyweight Title as well as form a tag team with Doug Gilbert, again managed by Dangerously, called The Lethal Weapons. They would win the ICW Tag Team Titles at the very end of 1989 and hold them 3 months before being stripped of them when they left the promotion.
Condrey retired from full-time wrestling at that point but would continue to appear in nostalgia events, teaming with Bobby Eaton and on occasion forming 6-man teams with Stan Lane. He was signed as a developmental in March 2010 and wrestled his last match in 2011. In recent years, he had suffered from throat cancer, but still made appearances on AEW programming when the company came to his area. Condrey was a tough no-nonsense wrestler. Unlike Bobby Eaton, who was a high-flyer, Condrey kept things basic and utilised a more "believable" style, making a great compliment to Eaton as a tag team partner. At the time of his death, Condrey appeared on 27 documented cards in Oklahoma. The earliest was February 19, 1984, where he and Bobby Eaton def. Magnum T. A. & Mr. Wresting II. The last was January 15, 2005, when he and Bobby Eaton lost to The Fantastics in a Steel Cage Match for the vacant SCW Southern Tag Team Titles. Oklafan extends its condolences to Condrey's family and friends at this time.
Oklafan is saddened to report the death of Duncan Kincaid, who passed away from a heart attack following a wrestling match on March 22, 2026. He was 45 years old. Kincaid, whose real name was Dean Fitzpatrick, Jr. and who typically went by D. J., was the nephew of pro wrestler Damian Kincaid and began his career in 2000 outside Oklahoma. He had his first match in Oklahoma in 2008, but that was a one-off appearance as he left Oklahoma and moved for a time to Michigan. He did not return to compete in Oklahoma again until 2016, but he would become a mainstay in the Oklahoma City area after that. He formed a short-lived tag team with Dean Lambert called Brutal Vanity, but most of his time for the first 5 years of his career was spent in singles competition. His first Oklahoma based title was the ASP All-Time Title, which he took from C. M. Burnham on September 4, 2021 and held for 1 day before losing it to BCW Buzzsaw Champion Father Padge in a Title-vs-Title match. Kincaid would then find himself embroiled in a feud with Ryan the Ripper, culminating in a Hardcore Match on September 11, 2021. April 22, 2022 was a particularly good day for Kincaid as he won a Triple Threat Match over Malachi and Ryan the Ripper at a UWO event before going on to win the Unified Rumble match for the vacant RDW Iron Man Title. He held that title until September 10, 2022 when he lost it to MLP in a Hardcore Match. But the majority of Kincaid's matches involved The Saints of Pro Wrestling (which he was a member of and which he fought against) and Bud Barnes. Those battles showed that Kincaid was tough and could hold his own in a hardcore environment. Kincaid would defeat MajCW 24/7 On Call Champion Deacon Hendrix prior to the beginning of the RWE Event on October 25, 2025. He would lose the title to Vald, but regain it later in the card. He then traded the title back and forth with Motley Jesture at the EPW event on November 15, 2025. And after Max Mercer won the EPW Hardcore Title, Kincaid put his focus on becoming a dual champion and achieved that goal on March 22, 2026 briefly by beating Mercer for the title, but then losing it to Kieran Corvus under the 24/7 rule. That would be his final in-ring appearance as shortly after that match, Kincaid suffered a severe cardiac event and was taken to the hospital where he passed away. Multiple tributes from wrestlers in the state have appeared across Facebook and without exception everyone has mentioned how much Kincaid loved 2 things: pro wrestling and his family. He was mentioned as being one of the friendliest people in the locker room and the love he had for his 3 daughters and his wife Lilith was obvious to anyone who knew him. He may not have had a stellar win/loss record, but he was always someone who posed a serious threat to championships as he received many title opportunities in his career in multiple companies. And given that he was the MajCW 24/7 On Call Champion at the time of his death, that company declared that title retired and Kincaid is now a forever champion with that belt. In total, Kincaid competed on 80 documented Oklahoma wrestling events. The earliest was an OECW event in Walters, OK on November 1, 2008 where he lost to Kareem Sadat. The last was March 22, 2026, where he defeated Max Mercer for the EPW Hardcore Title and the lost it to Kieran Corvus. Oklafan extends its condolences to Kincaid's family and friends at this time.
