Wrestling for a Cause hosts wrestling event supporting 5-year-old with cancer

Wrestling for a Cause hosted their first event of the new year, donating the show's funds to the family of a five-year-old girl with cancer.
"Tonight, we're doing a pro-wrestling event," shared Tim Rockwell, the Founder of Wrestling for a Cause. "Every show we do a charity for children fighting cancer right here in Broken Arrow at The Property Event Center. Tonight's for a little girl named Harper. Harper's been fighting a rare cancer. She's...in Memphis, that's where she stays, so her family's going to be here tonight to represent her."
Rockwell said the shows give families a chance to leave their troubles at the door.
"We do shows for these families and when they come out, it gives them a chance to escape reality, forget cancer ever even existed. Then we can put on what our guys do, put on the greatest professional wrestling show."
The funds raised at the shows are donated directly to the families to use for anything they need.
"We raise all this money so we can donate it to them. I'm not saying that we're here to help them beat cancer, nothing we can do about that, but what we can do is ease the burden for these families. This will help pay a light bill...your water, maybe it pays your rent, maybe it pays your car payment or maybe it gives you gas to go to these appointments that you go to or maybe this just gives them enough money to come back home for a weekend."
Rockwell said he adores getting to organize and experience each show.
"It's exciting! Every single time I do this, it feels like Wrestlemania because every show's exciting because it's different. It's not the same show every time. It's always something different, more surprises, more entertainment. Wrestlers from all over that come in. It's the greatest cause in the world and I love that."
Wrestling for a Cause holds their fights on every first Saturday of the month.
