NEWS
A clip of Jason Jones hosting SlapFIGHT was featured on the most recent “Beavis & Butthead” episode. Jones posted about it on social media, saying “I’ve had a few people message me about being on the new episode of Beavis and Butthead that aired last night on Comedy Central. I was featured on there with SlapFIGHT Championship, including UFC legend Tim Sylvia. I’m not gonna lie, This was pretty cool I’m a big fan of Mike Judge and King of the Hill. Shout out to JT Tilley, PLN and Comedy Central for this.”

Appearing on “The Velvet Ropes” with SoCal Val, soon-to-be TNA Hall of Famer Mickie James revealed that she has asked Lisa Marie Varon, better known to fans as Victoria, to induct her at “Bound For Glory” on October 12th. “You’re going to be pleased with this as someone who was pretty synonymous with the whole in-production of hardcore country,” James told SoCal Val. “I think that we made some incredible, historic moments together, and that would be our dear friend, Lisa Marie. I’ve asked her.” The two had rivalries both in WWE and TNA, where Lisa Marie wrestled as Tara. Their feud came to a climax at “Final Resolution” in 2012, with Varon beating James. James received the news that she was going to be part of the TNA Hall of Fame class of 2025 last month. She is a former five-time TNA Knockouts champion and had multiple stints with TNA.

Gail Kim believes that Kenny Omega's comment about a "gift basket" gave AEW fans the impression that it was acceptable to target her. During her appearance on the podcast “Massive Heat”, Kim discussed Omega's remark. “I woke up and I was kind of under the weather, that’s why I was so active on Twitter. I saw the first comment was from Kenny. I don’t follow him, it was on ‘For You.’ I was like, ‘Is he talking about me?’ I tweeted him back right away and was like, ‘Don’t beat around the bush. If you’re trying to say something, say it.’ He didn’t even @ me. If you’re an executive of another company, you’re setting the tone. That’s why all the AEW fans felt like it was okay to come after me. If he didn’t encourage that behavior, I think they wouldn’t be as aggressive as they are. You have to set an example. When I was part of management, I was very careful about what I tweeted and how I represented the company and what kind of example I was setting for the talent. You have to think about those things when you’re in that position,” said Kim. Kim mentioned that she has not received any communication from Omega since their previous interaction. She clarified that her comments were not intended to disparage or bully Riho, and while she is open to a discussion, she is also prepared to proceed without one.

During the "Crown Jewel: Perth" kickoff show held earlier on Saturday, A. J. Styles confirmed that he will be retiring from in-ring competition in 2026. Styles was one of the many WWE Superstars who appeared in front of the thousands of WWE fans who showed up at Forrest Place for the live broadcast. “I’m getting old, folks! Listen, if I could find the Fountain of Youth and take a couple of sips, I would wrestle for the rest of my life,” Styles told the crowd. “The fear of embarrassing myself is getting closer. And you know what? There comes a time in a man’s life when he has to take care of business. But when business is done, it’s time to take care of his family. I need to spend time with my family,” Styles continued. He then said that the whole idea with wrestling and having an amazing future in this business is to be able to retire on his own terms one day. “And in 2026, I will retire,” he concluded.

In a recent interview, Karrion Kross said that he has been in talks with AEW, but AEW thinks he and Scarlett leaving WWE is a “work” (part of a storyline). He then said “It’s not a work, this is my life. If they (AEW) think it’s a work, book us, and find out it’s not a fucking work”. When asked if he was opposed to going to AEW, Kross said “Am I opposed to go there, where they have a TV deal, PPVs, and some of the best talent? No. No I am not.”

Killer Kross & Scarlett were recent guests on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet”, which you can watch by clicking here.

Ric Flair is apparently not a fan of Hulk Hogan's movies. He said “Hulk’s movies suck! John (Cena) and Dwayne (Johnson - The Rock) are making a lot of money. Especially Dwayne, he’s the most entertaining son of a bitch alive. He kills me. I go back and look at his old stuff and he was funny as hell.” When asked which one of Hogan’s movies was the worst, Flair said “The one where he played Santa Claus (“Santa with Muscles”). It was horrible.”

On Cyndi Lauper’s CBS special last week, she gave a thank you to wrestlers who helped her in the early days of her career. She mentioned Captain Lou Albano, Freddie Blassie, and Roddy Piper.
