Impact Inc. proves they still have power and are still dominant

Since the inception of Impact Zone Wrestling, John Zorthos (AKA Johnny Z) has weilded power with no fear of retribution. The company was his and he could do with it what he wanted, when he wanted. He stripped champions of titles like he did in January 2004 when he stripped John O'Malley of the Heavyweight Title. When champions had a "falling out with IZW Management", they were stripped of titles like when Se7en & Luc Lapointe were stripped of the Tag Team Titles in 2005 when Se7en and Zorthos didn't see eye to eye. When Zorthos formed Impact, Inc. he had safety in numbers and all members had carte blanche to do what they chose to do. While lately the membership of Impact, Inc. has been suffering, they added a new jewel to the crown.

Right before the second match, a video was shown of Mitch Carter behind the wheel of a vehicle somewhere in Oklahoma City. He explained that he was "The Cult Phenomenon" and has been IZW Cruiserweight Champion and IZW Tag Team Champion and wanted a match in IZW. He then drove away and it was revealed that he was driving Johnny Z's truck. Outraged, Johnny Z came out to the ringside area and went to the front row where Carter was sitting. Carter taunted him with the keys and Zorthos flipped Carter over the barricade then demanded that Carter be removed from the building since he crossed the barricade. Security dragged Carter from the arena.

Brad Michaels then joined Zorthos in the ring and they began calling out John O'Malley, who was more than happy to come to the ring. As the two members of Impact, Inc. began working over O'Malley, out came a chair carrying Michael Barry to make the save. Barry had been forced out of IZW after losing a Loser-Leaves-IZW Match to Tommy Revell just a little over a month ago. Barry chased Michaels and Zorthos from the ring. He then helped O'Malley to his feet and clocked him with the chair. Barry removed his IZW T-shirt to reveal an Impact, Inc. T-shirt underneath. Barry, Zorthos, and Michaels continued attacking O'Malley busting him open. They left him laying in the ring bleeding profusely.

Later in the evening, Michaels wrestled Seth Allen in a return match from last week. The match was one of the best of the night as the former Old School Assassins tag team partners tried to take the other to wrestling clinic. Michaels picked up the win in controversial fashion with a handful of tights. But he wasn't finished either. Out came Zorthos and Barry and the three began attacking Allen. This brought out IZW Commissioner Mike Iles who was more than a little ticked off to say the least. He began screaming at Zorthos telling him the crap had to stop. He said he had witnessed the earlier beatdown on O'Malley and now on Allen and he was sick of it. Zorthos asked how long Iles had been in IZW to which the response was long enough to know that this was total crap. Zorthos said he did things his way. Iles turned around, removed his suit jacket and shoved Zorthos, who then told Barry to attack Iles. The three Impact, Inc. members then began attacking the commissioner. After a Michael Barry leg drop to Iles, they began gloating and finally left for the locker room, while Iles needed assistance from security.

The main event was no better for the fan favorites as it was Michael Barry vs. John O'Malley. Barry was accompanied to the ring by Brad Michaels and O'Malley was still bleeding from the attack earlier in the evening. It was basically a handicap match as Michaels got his licks in at every chance he got. Barry picked up the win in his first match back in IZW and his first match as a member of Impact, Inc.

Impact, Inc. is now back to four members with Michael Barry joining the fold. Although Bernie Donderwitz has been MIA for quite some time. Johnny Z is looking like he is finally getting control of his company again for the first time since Mike Iles came on board as commissioner. The adage goes absolute power corrupts absolutely, and we have witnessed that first hand in IZW in the past. Another adage is history is destined to repeat itself. Could we be getting a repeat of the John Zorthos reign of terror?

Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
Dustin Heritage also returned to action facing IZW Heavyweight Champion Tommy Revell in the opening match. Although he came out on the losing end of the match, he showed no ill effects from the knee injury sustained at the hands of Dexter Hardaway just a little over a month ago. He also showed very little ring rust. Welcome back Dustin!

Sassy Merlot also returned to IZW but is now known as Brieanna Bringle and she is now associated with Nathan Sensation. This marks the first time she has valeted at a wrestling show in Oklahoma since she accompanied Michael Barry to the ring at an NWA Universal show in October 2006. She was at Barry's side during his earlier successes. Perhaps she can be good luck for Nathan Sensation as well, although he and Striker did lose to The New Age Syndicate.
