NEWS
Abyss commented on a possible return to the ring. As things currently stand,he had his final match in 2019, defeating Mojo McQueen at an independent show in Illinois. Since then, fans have been speculating on a potential in-ring return for Abyss, or even Joseph Park. In a new interview with “Fightful”, those talks were seemingly put to rest, as Abyss stated that he has no plans on wrestling again. "To answer quite frankly, I’m done. Physically, I don’t have plans on wrestling again. Never say never, but I don’t see it in the cards, nor do I want it in the cards. I’m so happy with what I’m doing and the challenge that being a producer presents to me every day there. I’m so focused on that and being the best producer I can be. I had a great career with no regrets. Nothing I would have changed. It was time to move on and fortunately, I was lucky enough to be presented the opportunity to be a producer for the biggest and best wrestling company in the world. That, to me, was something that I never saw coming. I never thought that was going to be a possibility, just like I never thought this video game participation would be a possibility. That’s what I’m focused on now. Being the best producer I can be and contributing to the business that way." Abyss went on to say that he’s deep into his current role as a producer for WWE. “I just feel where I’m at in my life and career, I’m so enthralled in being a producer, I feel that’s where I’m best served. I’m focused on that and I continue to learn. It’s a learning process. I learn every week from the minds that I’m around and the talent I work with. It’s a non-stop learning process. That’s where my focus is at. If the opportunity ever arose and it’s the right situation, I just don’t think that’s where I want to be. I want to focus on being the best producer I can be.” Abyss is available as a playable character in WWE 2K25, as he’ll be a part of the Dunk & Destruction DLC pack that released on June 25th. WWE 2K released footage of Abyss’ entrance for WWE 2K25.

Sean Ross Sapp of “Fightful” is reporting through his Fightful Select service that Gail Kim has been backstage at NXT lately, including this past week. It was Kross’ first premium live event match since WrestleMania 40 in April 2024. Stay loud for what you like and what you want to see. Keep it •positive• and they will always listen. In closing: I told you, I’m very big on loyalty. When you show up for me, I’ll show out for you.”

Rikishi wants his daughter-in-law Naomi to have a high-profile premium live event match against Charlotte Flair. "For me, just to be able to see her test her skills in the squared circle, I would really like to see her go up against Charlotte Flair. It's kind of dynasty vs dynasty. They're both athletic, they're both in tip-top good shape. I think if it's built the right way, this could be a featured type of match for whatever big pay-per-view."

WWE Vault posted a thank you note to subscribers as the channel now has two million subscribers and 1 billion views. It has asked fans to continue sending in recommendations and requests.
