Four TNA champions confirmed for AAA Triplemania Regia

Four TNA stars have officially been confirmed for an upcoming Lucha Libre AAA event.
Joe Hendry, Moose, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are heading to Mexico next month for Triplemania Regia. The show is being held at Arena Monterrey on Sunday, June 15 and is the first major AAA event in Mexico since it was announced that the company is being purchased by WWE.
The matches Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths will be competing in have not been announced yet. Their participation in Triplemania Regia was announced by Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these four incredible TNA stars to AAA,” Dorian Roldan, general manager of AAA, told The Takedown. “This collaboration represents the best of both worlds — the passion and tradition of Lucha Libre, and the global momentum of TNA. Our fans are in for something truly special.”
Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths are all currently champions in TNA. Hendry holds the TNA World Championship, Moose is the X-Division Champion, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are the TNA Tag Team Champions. Nic Nemeth was a former World Champion for WWE as Dolph Ziggler.
WWE’s Angelo and Berto (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) will also be competing at Triplemania Regia.
The acquisition of AAA is expected to become official in Q3 of this year with WWE taking majority control of the promotion (51 percent) and Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip owning 49 percent. Before Triplemania Regia, a Worlds Collide show will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7 with wrestlers from WWE, NXT, and AAA.
