Calling To the Mountain! Tag Team Warfare Engulfs WFC!

Deception is a natural part of life. People lie about things. They twist truths and present false images of how events are in their lives. Sometimes they do that to make themselves seem better than they are to gain adoration they can't otherwise get. Other times, they make themselves out to be worse off in hopes of gaining sympathy.

But usually, people lie about other people in order to use them and see how much they can get away with. And that apparently was the plan for Jack Davenport. It worked well, until the deception was revealed at the end of July, sparking an act of brutality that almost got two teams and their managers fired from WFC.

When Mike Andrews bought the contracts of Davenport, Duke Blanchard and Dutch Hagen from Tony Snow and christened them Iron Mountain, Hagen was the only one who didn't seem to set well. And after losing the WFC Title to Thrash and losing the title rematch the next month, Iron Mountain kicked Hagen out and he disappeared. But his partner, Richie Adams and their former manager Richard Pierce to take revenge in Hagen's name. Hagen himself would return at the beginning of June and a reunited London Calling would brawl with Iron Mountain on June 1st, leading to Hagen executing a sit-out Dutch Oven on Davenport. Trainers in the back indicated that Davenport had suffered some neck issues and he had to be removed from the Freedom Rings Rumble the next day. WFC Director of Wrestling Operations Stevie Caballero also suspended London Calling from the event to try to send a message that actions like that would not be tolerated.

The next time Jack was seen, he was sporting a neck brace, but he kindly gave updates each appearance to the WFC fans that his neck was slowly healing. Richie Adams continued to compete, and Richard Pierce did as much as he could to verbally challenge Mike Andrews verbally. But Hagen could sense that something wasn't right with this and attacked Davenport in the ring, drawing ire from the other Iron Mountain member who berated him for attacking an "injured man" As a result, once again, Caballero was forced to take action. He set up a 1-on-1 match between Richie Adams and Duke Blanchard at ExtravaSlamza III on July 27th. While both men were allowed to have their managers at ringside, Dutch Hagen was barred from the buildling.

So the match commenced and Davenport, after bringing his "Jumping Jacks" up to date on his recovery, sat at ringside to observe. Things went back and forth after an attempted early attack by Blanchard. The match spilled out of the ring and at one point, Adams went to put his hands on Mike Andrews, only to be called off by Richard Pierce. But after Adams rolled back into the ring, Andrews jumped up on the ring apron and drew the attention of the referee, protesting the near-assault from Adams. Behind the referee's back, Davenport slid in the ring an delivered a low blow, allowing Blanchard to connect with a high-impact move and get the 3-count. But the real revelation came after the match was over as Davenport removed his neck brace and Iron Mountain double-teamed a fallen Riche Adams. But in quick response, Dutch Hagen, who had been barred from the arena, appeared from the back, coming to the rescue of his tag team partner. Security hit the ring and attempted to restrain both teams to no avail until Stevie Caballero once again came to ringside with many other members of the locker room. After all the participants were separated, Mike Andrews decided to enter the ring and go face to face with Richard Pierce.

In what should not be a considered a surprise, Andrews slapped Pierce full-force across the face.

And Richard Pierce, after months of trying to handle things to right way, lost all his composure and attacked Mike Andrews, much to the delight of the crowd! Pierce dropped Andrews and began to unleash months of frustration on Andrews' rotund frame as Caballero attempted to restore order. Sensing things getting back out of control, Caballero made it clear that he would fire all the members of both London Calling and Iron Mountain if order was not restored. Andrews abandoned the ring and gathered his troops to beat a retreat while London Calling stood in the ring enjoying a somewhat unsatisfying victory.

So now the deception is over. And it seems obvious that London Calling and Iron Mountain are on a collision course with each other. Can WFC survive the forthcoming war between these two sides?
