Fool Me Twice, Shame On Me! Xavior Takes Out Oklahoma Champ In Consecutive Matches
Posted: Dec 26th 2007 By: CMBurnham
The mind games have begun between Bad Boy and MSWA Oklahoma Champion Outlaw and now a 3rd player has entered the fray. MSWA rookie Xavior scored his 2nd upset victory over the veteran performer due to a little help from the company owner.
On November 25, Outlaw came to the ring and proclaimed once again that he was the greatest wrestler on the independent scene in Oklahoma and to prove that, he issued an open challenge to the locker room. That challenge was answered by Xavior, who had only been active since Sepetember. Outlaw believed that he had a cakewalk of a match, but Xavior shocked everyone by pulling the upset and earning himself a title match on the following show.
December 16th couldn't come fast enough for the rookie sensation. The title was up for grabs, but MSWA commissioner Halo had a surprise for everyone: a special referee. Someone that knew Outlaw well. Someone experienced. Someone who wouldn't put up with any nonsense. Outlaw thought it was going to be Tom Jones, but instead, Halo brought out Bad Boy. This certainly seemed to tip the scales in Xavior's favour and the crowd anxiously awaited the loss of Outlaw's lone remaining piece of gold.
As the match progressed, Bad Boy did everything he could to play mind games with Outlaw. He made slow 2 counts when Outlaw was pinning Xavior, as well as slow counts off the ropes. He was "distracted" when Xavior would break rules, but right on top of things when Outlaw would attempt an infraction. It seemed like it would only be a matter of time before Xavior made the pin, but an accidental collission in the corner between Bad Boy and Xavior gave Outlaw the moment he needed. He pulled his black glove from his trunks and loaded it, then waited for Xavior to turn around before hitting him square in the forehead and knocking him out. But he didn't get away with it. While Bad Boy didn't recover soon enough to see the use, he saw the glove on Outlaw's hand, as well as an unconscious Xavior in the ring and it didn't take a genius to figure out what happened. Outlaw was DQed and Xavior gained his 2nd straight win over the champion. Sadly the title does not change hands on a DQ, but Xavior was still the winner in the fans' hearts as well as in the record books.
Outlaw didn't take the loss well, even though he got to keep his title belt. A post match brawl between Bad Boy and his former partner erupted, but Bad Boy came out the better of that. No resolution seems to be in sight between these 2 men. And now that Outlaw knows he's been beaten by Xavior twice, he won't be as casual about defending that title again anytime soon.
