Sting & Darby Allin set for action at AEW Rampage Grand Slam
Posted: Sep 17th 2023 By: Ethan Renner
The first match is official for a special two-hour episode of AEW Rampage Grand Slam on Friday, September 22.
It was revealed during this week's Rampage episode that Sting & Darby Allin will be in tag team action at Grand Slam against Christian Cage & Luchasaurus.
Luchasaurus defeated Allin to retain the TNT Championship at All Out earlier this month, while Sting & Allin defeated Christian & Swerve Strickland in a coffin match at last month's All In pay-per-view as the rivalry between the two sides has continued to unfold.
A trios match was also heavily teased for Rampage Grand Slam, although not officially announced.
Strickland issued a challenge to The Young Bucks & Hangman Page on behalf of Brian Cage & The Gates of Agony for Rampage Grand Slam during a backstage promo segment on this week's episode.
As has been the case with the prior two editions of Rampage Grand Slam, the episode will be taped on Wednesday following Dynamite Grand Slam, and will air for two hours on Friday night beginning at the normal time of 10 p.m. Eastern time on TNT.
The confirmed lineup so far:
AEW Rampage Grand Slam, Friday, September 22, 10 p.m. Eastern time on TNT --
Sting & Darby Allin vs. Christian Cage & Luchasaurus
