Order Up! Lunchador Cleans The Plate Against Hunger Dojo Title Challengers!
Posted: Jul 11th 2023 By: Michael Hunt
The menu for the Lunchador has been ever expanding in 2023.
The masked food aficionado has become quite the mainstay in several Oklahoma wrestling companies. He considers his home company to be WAH and he worked to create a partnership between that company and the Food Dude Burger Joint, another of his preferred establishments. Now, Lunchador can show up to his favourite eating establishment with championship gold as he won the WAH Hunger Dojo Title from Dr. Corvus. Now a recognised champion, the Lunchador has vowed to travel to all corners of the state in search of good food and a good fight.
That Hunger Dojo title has a 24/7 clause on it and as such, some of the most unlikely champions can be crowned, given those conditions. Recently, at the June 24th WAH event, the Lunchador was in the backstage area when he encountered WAH ring announcer C. M. Burnham. The two exchanged some pleasantries and as Burnham wished Lunchador well in his match that night, the masked competitor wanted to cap their conversation off with a friendly hug. But the hug went on longer than expected and the grip was so tight that Lunchador had to try and get Burnham's attention, tapping him on the shoulder. Unfortunately he picked exactly the wrong moment to do that as referee Dylan Feltz walked by and declared that to be a submission under 24/7 rules, so the new champion was C. M. Burnham!
This was not the first championship that Burnham had held, though it had been almost 2 years since his last championship reign. And he was just as aware of the 24/7 rules as other have been, so the title was tightly guarded during the first half of that WAH event. But at intermission, Burnham encounterd the Lunchador once again in the backstage area. And out of a sense of sportsmanship, offered him a rematch for the title. But it wouldn't be just any type of wrestling match. It would be a THUMB wrestling match. With the referee present, Lunchador and Burnham clenched hands and their thumbs engaged in battle. It was a war of wits and wiggles, but the dexterity that Lunchador had in his tendons, combined with the endurance from the knuckle sandwiches he dishes out, allowed Food Fanatic to come out victorious and regain the Huger Dojo Title.
Three weeks later, these two men would encounter each other again. But it wasn't C. M. Burnham that faced off with the Lunchador when MajCW brought their first event to Henryetta, OK. It was Mohammad burn Ham. The dark, Arab-sympathiser persona was guiding his main charge, Al Farat, to answer the challenge of the Lunchador. But burn Ham had a plan. A devious plan in his devious mind. And after both the Lunchador and Farat were in the ring, burn Ham revealed the first part of that plan.
Before their match could begin, burn Ham reminded the crowd of the events that transpired at that WAH event in Tulsa. Then, he demanded that since he had been so gracious as to give a rematch to Lunchador, if Lunchador were a true sportsman, he would do the same. Under the same conditions. And Lunchador agreed. So the two men one again grasped hands, but this time in the middle of a wrestling ring. And again, the competition was intense. But after a brief struggle, it appeared that Lunchador would once again prevail.
And at that point, Al Farat (who was Luchador's announced opponent) attacked Farat from behind. And caught from behind, Lunchador now had to battle from a disadvantage at the very beginning. But Lunchador has a huge heart and a strong determination and eventually was able to get back on the advantage. He even got Farat down and executed a Rolling Pin (where he uses his body like a rolling pin on his opponent). And is often the case, Lunchador was able to get Farat in the corner in preparation to deliver the order of Ten Knuckle Sandwiches. But when he got up to about #4, burn Ham leapt up on the ring apron and drew the attention of the referee. This allowed Farat to connect with a low blow, but that was not enough, as burn Ham threw Farat his infamous spike. In a bizarre moment, Farat bobbled the spike and dropped it, but MajCW commissioner J. R. Wind picked it up and, instead of pocketing it as the crowd expected, he returned the spike to Farat, who promptley used it on the throat of Lunchador, incapacitating him. Burn Ham then turned the referee around as Farat pinned Lunchador to win the Hunger Dojo Title.
Or so everyone believed at that moment. But shortly after the pinfall and after burn Ham had handed Farat the title, MajCW owner Oscar Amazing took the microphone and reversed the opinion, giving the match (and the title) back to Lunchador. Farat and burn Ham were irate and appealed to Wind to do something, with burn Ham even going so far as to demand a rematch in the future. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but for the moment the victory and the title remains with Lunchador.
One title may not be enough for the Lunchador as he recently formed a tag team with The Canadian Red Devil known as Hell's Kitchen. They have put their focus on WAH, EPW & ASP Tag Team Champions The Psychotic Messengers since Nibira stole CRD's Hope and Glory briefcase. The masked duo obviously want revenge for that and intend to not just take back the briefcast but hopefully break up the Messengers' Triple Crown tag team status by taking away the WAH Tag Team Titles. Even if they are not successful, the Lunchador continues to make his presence known all over the state. And if he is at your show, you can expect a high energy match and an enthusiastic "Order Up!" to resound through the arena.
