Ric Flair Claims Randy Orton “Will Be Back And Better Than Ever”
Posted: Dec 4th 2022 By: James Holder
Despite many wondering whether Randy Orton will ever return to the ring, Ric Flair has predicted that The Viper will make a comeback.
On November 25th it was reported that Randy Orton had undergone surgery on a back injury that had kept him out of action since May. Even before taking time off to recuperate, it had previously been noted that the injury was a long-standing problem and had been getting progressively worse. The report stated that the procedure was “fusion surgery” and will keep him away from the ring for an extended period.
Ric Flair Tips Randy Orton To Resume Career
Some within WWE also appeared to question whether Orton would return at all commenting that they would be “lucky to have him back” given the length of his career and the severity of the injury. At present there are no creative plans for a return to television.
However, since then ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton has offered a more positive update on his son’s progress, commenting that he is recovering well. Speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair has also revealed that he expects the star to be back and better than ever.
“I talk to him all the time. Yeah, I asked him and talked about his surgery because I didn’t think he wanted me to share. But yeah, he’ll be back better than ever. There’s a look of a great wrestler, look at him, he just looks good. I mean, he carries himself very [well] I think him and Roman would be huge. I take him and Cody would be huge. There’s some really big matches, like when the queen comes back. I mean God, I’m pushing for, I would like it to be Bianca Belair but I mean, there’s some great matches for her too when she comes back.”
With regard to “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, it appears her return is coming sooner rather than later after she was pictured training with two NXT stars.
