NEWS
WWE released another eight wrestlers on Thursday. Those released were John Morrison, Isaiah Scott, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne, and Jaxson Ryker. Morrison's wife Taya Valkyrie (known as Franky Monet in NXT) was among the 18 wrestlers released by WWE on November 4th. After her hisband's release, Valkyrie tweeted "Stop supporting a company that has ZERO respect for their talent. You love pro wrestling, spend your money on the hundreds of other alternatives. This is wrong. Ethically, as employers they don’t care about us. Talent or fans."

Matches added to WWE’s YouTube page this past week included Team Morrison (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, & Finlay) vs. Team Miz (The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, & Jack Swagger) from "Survivor Series 2009".

Jinder Mahal joined the cast of ABC’s “Big Sky” starting with this past Wednesday’s episode. Mahal is playing a character named Dhruv.

Everybody knows that Bron Breakker looks like a Steiner and talks like a Steiner. Hints have been dropped for several weeks regarding the connection, but NXT announcers never explicitly say that Breakker is the son of Rick Steiner. Last week, NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa continued with the hints, quoting part of a famous interview that Breakker's uncle, Scott Steiner, did back in the day. At TNA's "Sacrifice 2008", Steiner ranted about mathematics and percentages of chances when it comes to winning, a segment which forever lives in professional wrestling as one of the most outrageous interviews ever. Ciampa, who was interrupted by Breakker again, informed him about his chances of winning the title. "I'm not a math major, and by the sound of it, you ain't either," Ciampa told a smiling Breakker. "But the way I see it, you have less than 33 1/3% chance of ever taking this NXT Championship from me." He later called Breakker a "puppy", another reference to Breakker's father, who had the nickname of "The Dog Faced Gremlin".

Ric Flair teased going to "WWE Survivor Series" this Sunday to witness Becky Lynch versus his daughter Charlotte in probably the most-awaited match of the pay-per-view. Addressing Lynch who said she would beat the piss out of Charlotte, papa Ric said, "I don’t think so sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, or whatever you call yourself," and added he might have to make the trip personally to see that happening. The Nature Boy is betting that his daughter will reign supreme come Sunday night and warned Lynch that "there’s not enough choreography in the business" to save her. The feud between the two reached new heights over the past few weeks stemming from the botched title swap segment on SmackDown and the real backstage confrontation that followed afterward. Ric has been gone from WWE for the past few months after he was released from his contract. He kept a low profile since the "Dark Side of the Ring" episode of the Plane Ride from Hell aired after he was accused of multiple offenses by one of the flight attendants on that trip.

The first episode of Ric Flair’s Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast was released Wednesday. You can listen to it by clicking here.

Ric Flair offered praise for Kenny Omega on his podcast: “I don’t see a weakness. After being in Mexico with him when he wrestled Andrade, I became even more impressed because seeing someone on TV, being around him, meeting him socially is one thing, and he’s a wonderful kid. I think the fact that he’s wrestled everybody, every style, around the world, that’s what it takes to really become a top guy in this business. You have to have had different opponents with different styles. I put him and A. J. Styles and Randy Orton, and there’s a lot of good ones, but I put those three pretty much in a class of their own. I would take The Young Bucks and The Usos as two of my favorite teams. They have a different style than Tully and Arn, but the way wrestling is put together today, and the way the guys are taught to entertain, I think The Usos are phenomenal and The Young Bucks do some stuff I’ve never seen.”

It was announced on Saturday that Jake Hager will face Jon Jones at the Fury Pro Grappling event on December 9th in New Jersey. However, after Jones himself tweeted the match announcement, Hager tweeted back saying no terms have been discussed, nor a contract signed. While that makes it sound like Jones jumped the gun in announcing the fight, a Fury official reportedly told MMA Fighting that the fight has indeed been booked, it just hasn't been made official. Hager is 3-0-1 in his MMA career.

Rumors were swirling last week about Jeff Jarrett and Conrad Thompson possibly starting their own wrestling promotion. Rumors began after Thompson commented on an interview that Jarrett had with "The Wrestling Inc. Daily", where the former Global Force Wrestling owner spoke on the state of wrestling and how the ability to create good high-quality compelling content has never been more readily available. Thompson took to Twitter to respond to a fan who asked if there was any interest. He posted a “My interest is piqued,” meme from the TV show "Curb Your Enthusiasm". He then said he was joking. He said "No, we are not. I mean, @RealJeffJarrett might be but me? No, sir. I’m permanently endeavored to @SaveWithConrad". When asked if he would be willing to help Jarrett, should he need help, Thompson respnded "We are friends. We help each other all the time." Thompson is a mortgage broker, a pro wrestling podcast host, and is married to Ric Flair's daughter Megan.

Rapper Young Dolph was killed on November 17th in a drive-by shooting in Memphis, TN while he was buying cookies in a bakery. In response to Dolph’s murder, Memphis native Jerry Lawler tweeted “Such a waste of a talented life…come on Memphis, we gotta be better than this! My condolences to the friends and family of Young Dolph.”

Regarding the death of Angelo Mosca, the players for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League are all wearing a number 68 (Mosca's retired uniform number) on the back of their helmets for the rest of the season to honor him. In their latest game, there were a lot of mentions of Mosca's death, as well as video clips. However, no pro wrestling television show mentioned his death and he was a headliner in WWF and a huge star in a lot of places, particularly Ontario, Canada.

Bobby Fulton had throat surgery on November 15th as part of his battle with cancer and the surgery reportedly went well. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan extends condolences to Richard Pierce on the passing of his grandmother last week.
