NEWS
In a post on Instagram, ACH announced that he’s stepping away from professional wrestling: “No need for the dramatic or emotional word play. As of today I will officially step away from professional wrestling. Thank you all for the support and love.”

It was teased on Thursday night’s "Impact Wrestling" that former Knockouts Champion Mickie James may be returning to the company. Impact featured a segment where Knockouts Tag Team Champions Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz were bragging about being the best backstage, when Rosemary and Havok confronted them, and Havok threw Hogan into a dumpster. Hogan climbed out of the dumpster and saw a trash bag with a piece of tape that said “Mickie” on it. This was a reference to WWE sending Mickie’s belongings to her in a trash bag after she was released from WWE back in April. This comes after James was one of the former WWE talents recently teased for the July 17th "Slammiversary" pay-per-view. James is a three-time former Knockouts Champion. She last appeared for Impact in 2015. James recently signed with the NWA, and will be producing their all-women’s pay-per-view on Saturday, August 28th, and is expected to wrestle the next night at the NWA 73rd Anniversary pay-per-view.

TMart Promotions convention in Charlotte, NC at the Hilton University Place July 22nd to July 25th announced Jackie McAuley, who was a close friend of Andre the Giant, will be coming and bringing Andre memorabilia. She and her then-husband, former referee Frenchy Bernard, lived with Andre, cooked for him, and helped take care of his property.

Episode eight of season one of A&E's "WWE Most Wanted Treasures", featuring Big Show and Mark Henry hunting for Andre the Giant memorabilia, drew 487,000 viewers on Sunday, down 39,000 viewers from episode seven. The show drew a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demo.

L. A. Knight talked to PWInsider about winning the Million Dollar Championship at "NXT TakeOver" last weekend. He also spoke about working with Ted DiBiase again. He said “Well, I have to say this. He better be around for a little bit because we've got some stuff to do. Like I said, he's got to help me get that last puzzle piece, which is just becoming the millionaire because everything else, I've embodied, it's there, now I got the title. And I think it's game on from here. So, I got to get Ted coming back. I don't think Ted's going anywhere.” At Tuesday's NXT event, Knight turned on DiBiase and continuously stomped him until Cameron Grimes made the save.

PWInsider reported that Karrion Kross faced Dolph Ziggler and Bronson Reed faced Bobby Roode in dark matches at "SmackDown" on Friday. Kross, Scarlett, and Reed were backstage at the show. PWInsider wrote that there was talk that Kross and Scarlett “would be brought back next week, possibly to do some promos.” The dark matches were so that the key powers in WWE could see Kross, Scarlett, and Reed live and first-hand.

A. J. Styles appeared on this week’s episode of "After the Bell with Corey Graves". You can listen to that by clicking here

Matches added to WWE’s YouTube include Ric Flair vs. Randy Orton from the June 4, 2007 edition of RAW.

Mick Foley was RJ City’s guest on last week’s Wednesday Morning Wake-Up segment on "The Bump".

Mick Foley, JBL, Naomi, Cathy Kelley, Carmella, Nikki Cross, the cast of WWE’s "The Bump", and more will be appearing on Sunday night’s "Hell in a Cell" edition of WWE "Watch Along".

AEW Owner Tony Khan appeared on the "Way of the Blade" podcast to discuss Ric Flair vs. Ted DiBiase from Mid-South Wrestling. You can listen to that by clicking here

All Elite Wrestling provided the first look at their newest television show "Rampage" on Friday night during "Dynamite", airing two teaser videos. In the first teaser, AEW World champion Kenny Omega is featured while in the second teaser, Cody Rhodes, TNT champion Miro, Hikaru Shida, Jungle Boy, Sting, and Jade Cargill are all featured in the same style of the first video. The logo of "Rampage" was also unveiled. The new show will kick off on Friday, August 13th at 10pm Eastern on TNT, which is immediately following the conclusion of "WWE Friday Night Smackdown" on FOX. The show will move to TBS in January 2022 along with "Dynamite" but will keep its Friday night time slot. Most of the times, "Rampage" will be taped on Wednesday night after "Dynamite" but there will be instances where the show will be live. You can see the teaser videos by clicking here

Jim Ross recently spoke on his "Grilling JR" podcast about the curtain call incident with Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels in 1996 at Madison Square Garden. The men broke kayfabe and celebrated in the ring as it was the final night that Nash and Scott worked for WWE before heading to WCW. “They’re so indebted to each other, they are such great friends, I wonder how often they talk now? So my point is, was it really that big of a deal? Or was it just for them to show their deviance? That they could do what they wanted, when they wanted, because of who (they) were. And you got to blame Vince for a lot of that because he let a lot of that s**t slip by.” Ross thought Vince McMahon was possibly too talent-friendly at the time. “That’s what they wanted to do and Vince was going to support those guys. Sometimes bookers, owners, whatever, can be too gracious in their quest to be talent friendly. I thought that was an example of that.” Ross also thought the incident was selfish on the part of the wrestlers. “I thought that thing in the Garden was kind of selfish. We’re going to defy tradition, we’re going to turn our back on kayfabe in this world’s most famous arena because we want to and we can and a lot of the other guys that I heard from were not happy about it.”

Nikita Koloff talked to Wrestling Inc about leaving pro wrestling and WWE’s current product. You can watch the interview by clicking here.
