UWF06 Ring Announcer Assaulted!

News comes out now that UWF06 has been sold to Gina Herrell, though nothing much will be changed in the near future. It was announced at a fund raising event in Ardmore this past Saturday. United Fund benefitted from the show. Later that night, the regular matches were on and what a show it was. Still running things was UWF06 Champion Jerry "the Boss" Bostic, the current manager. He dismissed Joshua Smith, the ring announcer for the night and inserted Frankie D to finish announcing the matches. Shane Rawls came out and demanded a title shot for the Heavyweight title. Though he was not going to be allowed to face "the boss", he came out and started to interupt other matches. Finally, to stop this mayhem they consented to allow him to participate in the battle royal for the number one contender spot. In the final match of the evening, Shane ran head strong over all the competitors and won the spot. He will face the champion in a coming match.

In the match where MSWA Mid-South Champion Al Farat was to appear, his music got mixed up and when he was to come out, he did so without his robe, his headdress, and boots. He was in shorts and street shoes. He began to yell, who stole his boots, his robe and headdress. He got no sympathy from the boisterous crowd. Finally coaxed into the ring, Farat began his match, up to his devious self until his music came on. A head with his headdress appeared from the curtains and soon the figure came out fully dressed in his full outfit. He ran about the ring and an enraged Farat left the ring to attack the figure. Tearing off the headdress, it was revealed that it was the ring announcer Josh Smith. Farat beat him on the floor of the arena and thru him into the ring where up on he put the hapless ring announcer into a camel clutch, inflicting so much pain causing his back problems. Thomas Trump came to his aide, but for his trouble he go a chair to his back and head. Then was choked with the same chair. Finally, security was summoned and order was restored. Joshua was carried to the back.

Joshua Smith has been called upon to Mid South Wrestling in Arkansas a couple of weeks ago and was being courted to do some shows other than UWF06.
