AWOL and The Casualities of War Return
Posted: Apr 6th 2021 By: WAH Staff
AWOL made his debut for OPW in 1999 at the River Lanes Bowling Alley known as the OPW Arena. He was a massive intimidating figure at 6’ 3” and 300 Pounds with his Military buzz cut and war paint. He was a natural recruit for the OPW’s Casualties of War faction, led by Major Powers.
The Casualties of War were one of the longest standing faction in Oklahoma, lasting in various forms up until TPW, where AWOL turned his back on his partner Grenade, and America, and joined up with New Canada, truly living up to his name.
AWOL then left New Canada and ventured out in Singles competition for many years. He won a variety of individual titles including the Compound Championship and MSWA Tri-State Champion. He even ventured into the world of Mixed Martial Arts but largely disappeared from Oklahoma Wrestling for the last decade.
The Casualties of War are slated to face newcomers “Most Wanted” this Saturday in Tulsa at WAH: FIRE PROOF. These two rookies, Reese and Shotgun Dan Webber, have locked themselves into a feud with WAH Tag Team Champion Loco Moscas. Will the reformed Casualties of War disrupt the tag team division as well and play spoiler? Come to WAH in Tulsa this Saturday at a special 2 PM start time, as to not conflict with WrestleMania that evening, to see how it all plays out and what other surprises AWOL might have for us.
WAH does not charge admission, but donations to the Living Hope Fellowship Food ministry is encouraged. Additional information on WRESTLE AGAINST HUNGER Pro Wrestling can be found at www.WrestleAgainstHunger.com.
