The Modern Wellness Center in Fort Worth, TX announced they have started a sponsorship of Gino Medina.
Ethan Page was the other mystery participant at the AEW pay-per-view, joining the Faces of Revolution ladder match as the sixth and final entrant of the match. He has also signed a deal with the promotion and is now part of the roster. The 31-year-old Canadian is best known for his time in Impact Wrestling as part of The North tag team where he won the Impact World Tag Team Titles twice with his tag team partner Josh Alexander. He last appeared for Impact at the "Hard To Kill" pay-per-view where he lost a cinematic match to Karate Man. Page, who did not see how Impact was going to edit the match, was left fuming after it aired, saying that Impact lied and disrespected him with the final product of the match and apologized to his fans for having to sit through it.
Impact Wrestling’s Josh Alexander wrote about his The North tag team partner Ethan Page signing with AEW: “Hes been as elite as they come for his whole career. If you doubt it, he'll make you regret it. Going to grab my popcorn and watch all those glass ceilings get smashed.”

Ricky Starks was a coveted free agent the minute people heard he was leaving the NWA, but it didn’t last long as AEW snapped him up pretty quickly. He was one of the first people Cody Rhodes defended the TNT Championship against, and fans were buzzing the moment Starks made his Dynamite debut in the hopes he’d be announced as All Elite. Speaking with the "Wrestling Pespective Podcast", Starks talked about his goal to getting the shot and how quickly things came together between his shot and becoming a full fledged member of the AEW roster. Starks noted that he had very little connection to Rhodes or Tony Khan outside a brief hello one time when visiting friends, but he manifested his dreams into an opportunity. “Then there was the Dynamite where Cody came out and he announced there was going to be an open challenge, and then he went on Twitter and said ‘oh no, this is open to everybody.’ I swear to God, the next day I was at the gym and this vision of me walking out and cutting this promo on Cody Rhodes before the match and having this match kept popping into my head for those few days. That Sunday, I got a call from AEW asking me if I was interested in coming in and doing a match with Cody. I was like, yeah for sure. I was like, what the hell is going on? I get there and theoretically I didn’t have a promo live in front of him but I wasn’t supposed to have a promo at all. I’d go and do some b-roll stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday and they chopped it up because the producer had liked it so much and he pitched it to Tony like, hey, maybe we do a promo package before he comes out. Dude, the promo package! I came out, I had an entrance and theme song. I had the match. After the match was over I legit thought it was just like a one-off and said ‘well, at least I can raise my rate and go onto the indies, gain some more momentum, and then once the pandemic is over get back in touch AEW or WWE and see what’s happening.’ Sure enough, that Wednesday my match airs and I get a call from Tony and he offers me a job. It was the most insane thing that’s ever happened, just because it started up here [points to his head] and then just materialized so quick.” Starks is sitting pretty as he’s a staple of AEW Dynamite and a member of Team Taz. He’ll have a chance to show just how big of a star he is at Revolution when he and Brian Cage meet Darby Allin and Sting in a Street Fight.
Mick Foley was impressed by Shaquille O'Neal’s table spot on "AEW Dynamite". He posted on Twitter "HUGE props to @SHAQ for taking that bump!".
Mick Foley commented on the ending to Sunday’s AEW Revolution event: “SAD, BUT TRUE! I've been there - at the 1995 KOTDM when the exploding ring underperformed. I feel bad for Mox & Omega, but suggest that @AEW deep-six the Kenny built a crummy ring story, and just admit that mistakes happen...and will learn from this mistake. Just my opinion.”

Jake “The Snake” Roberts recently appeared on the ‘Rasslin with Brandon F. Walker podcast. During it, he looked back on the health scare he had from October of 2020 that derives from his battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. "I got sick here a while back and I almost died, just a few months ago. No it wasn’t [COVID]. It’s just a thing that happens with people like me that are foolish, that wind up smoking cigarettes and it got me down man and it was stomping a hole in me and I woke up one morning and I started coughing and I couldn’t quit and when I did quit, I had no air, I couldn’t breathe. I could not get any air up, and I fell to the floor and I reached out and grabbed the phone and I called my daughter and she lives like four minutes from me and she got her ass over there, scooped me up, dragged me to the f*cking — dragged me to the hospital and I almost died. I almost died. My lungs, they barked. They said enough man, you gotta stop Jake. You’re killing us and bottom line, I obviously have O.P.D. [Obstructive pulmonary disease], I have emphysema and [it’s] my own doing and unfortunately, my family, we have a couple of lung issues anyway genetically and I did not know that. Here I am today and everything is beautiful.” He also talked about how he never sees himself departing from AEW after joining the promotion in March 2020. “I’m gonna listen to the opportunities, but I am not gonna walk out on AEW. I don’t care what is offered me. This is where I want to be. If Tony [Khan] came to me and said, ‘Jake, we gotta save some money. You know, sorry.’ I’ll say, ‘Well do you mind if I just show up on my own?’ Because that’s why I would do it. Tony, please don’t do that to me though.”
EC3 posted on Instagram about signing with Ring of Honor: “A #message from the #essentialcharacter. Wrestling With Demons reports that Miranda Gordy recently got a WWE tryout.

Ric Flair appeared on "Busted Open Radio" on his 72nd birthday. He discussed his storyline with Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans asying "It caught us off guard. It was presented to me. I think it was just a trial run and nobody really understood for sure exactly what was going to go. I would be remiss if I thought Ashley (Charlotte) was crazy about it. For me, I pretty much can pull off anything I want. I’m really good at doing things if I like the program and understand it, but, at the same time, it’s hard to be in a program against someone in your family, especially your daughter when everybody knows you’re so proud of her and you’ve been so positive towards her in you’re thinking and you’re so happy for her success. It kind of caught me off guard, but, on one side of me, I’m flattered they gave me the opportunity to even be on TV. Number two, it started out a little rough and I think it was smoothing out. She (Lacey Evans) got pregnant. She’s a beautiful girl. I don’t know her that well, but what I know of her, she’s just a genuinely nice person. I’ve met her husband. I’ve met her daughter who they had on TV a little bit over on SmackDown, but, it happened and I’m sure we were just at the point we were really going to make it work. I did have some ideas. My problem was, they won’t let me get in the ring because it’s so hard to get me cleared because of my health issues, even though I have been cleared by my doctors. I just don’t think they’re prepared to let me get in the ring in case something happened. I could have 40 releases, but, it would be that, why the hell are you doing that? Why the hell are you letting him do that? I actually wanted to put sweat clothes on and work out with her, which I thought would have been great and teach her some things and actually have her emulate my character, doing the flips, suplex in, turn around, begging off. I had it all written down, but they wouldn’t let me get in the ring. I had the master plan. It would have been fun. It never came to fruition and I’m happy that things worked out like they did, especially for her because I think she was upset, a little bit, but then she said, ‘Hey, I’m having a baby. This is what’s supposed to happen. I’m young. I have a beautiful daughter and now I’ve got a second one on the way.’ Everybody wants to be on TV, but, in this case, if she’s not going to be on TV for a while, it’s for a very wonderful reason that we’re all aware of."
WWE announced a new documentary titled "Goldberg At 54", an original doc which will premiere on Sunday, March 7th. "Goldberg at 54" follows the WWE Hall of Famer as he prepared for his WWE Championship Match against Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble in January. This intimate look at the former Universal and World Heavyweight Champion reveals the mental and physical challenges that Goldberg was forced to confront during his most recent comeback as he readied to challenge an opponent 20 years his junior. The documentary will be available on-demand starting at 10am Eastern. Also premiering at the same time will be "Heaven", the first non-wrestling documentary produced by the WWE Network Documentaries division, which tells the story of high school athlete Heaven Fitch.
Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, Beth Phoenix, amateur wrestler Heaven Fitch (who is the subject of the WWE Network’s "Heaven" documentary that’s premiering on Sunday), and Fandango were guests for Wednesday morning’s episode of WWE’s "The Bump".

On a recent episode of "The Wrestling Inc. Daily", Chavo Guerrero, Jr. talked about a wide range of topics. This includes Netflix canceling the final season of “GLOW” last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guerrero talked about how he wanted to give closure to the series. “We wanted that closure at least. We had the scripts all done and all the steps were done,” Guerrero recalled. “We knew where we were going with it, and God, it was gonna be so good. It was going to be very wrestling heavy season, so I was really looking forward to that. All the actresses were looking forward to that because they loved that part. “They love the acting don’t get me wrong, but they loved getting in the ring because it made them feel strong and badass. We already filmed two episodes and some great wrestling scenes in there, and I brought in Taya Valkyrie to do some stuff. I had Victoria coming in. I had possibly Gail Kim coming in.“I had some good little nuggets in there, and then when the plug got pulled, man, we were all sad. Some of the texts from from the actresses to me were so sad because there was no closure. We had no goodbye, no wrap party, nothing like that. It just stopped. So hopefully, in the future, if all the fans really really want that, we can do a Netflix movie and get some closure on it, but we’ll see in the future.”

After a charity event he was involved with was cancelled, Joey Ryan has issued this statement: “I’ve also spent the past week or so reflecting on my defamation lawsuits and have decided to drop them, for the most part, including the ones that I’ve already won by default. There’s a misconception that I’m 'suing everyone'. I’m not. I filed lawsuits against the four women who accused me of an actual crime, one person who misreported information and later admitted it and one person who made up stories about me. The only reason I filed any lawsuits was for some semblance of due process that I believe is due to persons accused of what I was accused of, instead of getting tried in the court of public opinion. I wanted to have all of the defendants in the lawsuits respond to the complaints so that they could explain why they made the false statements and explain the evidence that exists against their claims. A default judgment does not allow for the due process that I was seeking because the defendants did not want to participate so I am seeking to dismiss those cases. I was also hoping the lawsuits would permit an investigation through what is called the “discovery” phase in a lawsuit, which I wasn’t afforded because none of the accusers went to the police and IMPACT Wrestling decided to terminate our contract without so much as consulting me or conducting any investigation as mutually agreed upon in the terms before they terminated it. For full transparency, I am leaving the IMPACT Wrestling lawsuit open. Breach of contract is an entirely different issue. I know wrestling doesn’t have a union or really anybody to look out for us in contract negotiations but they have forced wrestlers to sit at home after disputes and wait out contracts with threats of breach. It would set a bad precedent to not hold them accountable to their side of these same contracts.”

Oklafan congratulates Miranda Gordy on the birth of her nephew.
Oklafan extends condolences to Miranda Gordy on the passing of her uncle.
Oklafan extends condolences to Shadow of Death on the passing of his cousin-in-law Sharla on March 6th.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and firends of Ann Casey, who passed away March 1st at the age of 82. At the time of this writing, the cause of death is not known, but her last social media post indicated that she was getting tested for cancer. Casey, whose real name was Louise O’Casey, began her association with wrestling as the secretary and ticket seller for the Mobile, AL office in 1962 when she caught the eye of The Fabulous Moolah. She would also gain notoriety for wrestling without boots, which was normal given that she rarely wore them on the farm where she grew up. She gave up boots permanently when a rib that saw her boot laces tied together resulted in her breaking both her ankles at once. Perhaps one of the biggest moments of her life was one that she almost didn’t survive. She found drugs in her son’s bedroom and discovered that he was being used as a transport by a truck driver. She contacted the police and had that truck driver arrested, but shortly after that, she was shot 5 times while in her car, with one bullet barely missing her heart and another lodging in her liver. She died twice before surgery and was told she would never wrestling again, but was back in the ring several months later. Her career lasted from 1962 until the early 1980s and after that she careers as a psychology technician and a bail bond officer, where her wrestling experience came in handy when a woman she was charged with apprehending, threw an iron at her head and had to be wrestled to the ground (in a bed of red ants). Casey wrestled 11 documented matches in Oklahoma. The earliest was August 13, 1962 in Oklahoma City when she teamed with TSW Oklahoma Junior Heavyweight Champion Don Kent and defeated Vicki Adams & Mike Clancy in a Mixed Tag Team match. The last was March 5, 1971 in Oklahoma City when she teamed with Johnny Boyle and defeated Kay Noble & Chuck Karbo.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Jim Crockett, Jr., who passed away March 4, 2021 due to complication of liver and kidney failure. He was 76 years old. Crocket was the son of Jim Crockett, Sr., who owned the Mid-Atlantic territory of the NWA until his death in 1973. But Crockett, Jr. was not expected to take over the territory. Instead, John Ringley, Crockett’s brother-in-law, had been groomed for the position until it was discovered that he was having an affair and his wife Frances, Crockett’s sister, divorced him. Crockett was then placed in the position of owning a wrestling company and with the help of his brother David on commentary and his brother Jackie as a cameraman, he prepared to fulfill this newfound duty as best as he could. By hiring George Scott as his booker as well as a wealth of talent, including a young Ric Flair, Crockett turned the Mid-Atlantic territory into something synonymous with the NWA. Crockett would serve 3 terms as the NWA President and it was during his second that he began to look at expanding his territory nationally, much like Vince McMahon was doing with the WWF. Part of that expansion, which continued into his third term, was the purchase of the UWF from Bill Watts, which he initially intended to continue to run as a separate promotion, hoping to build to an annual inter-promotional event. He even relocated his business center to Dallas, TX from North Carolina. But the economy in Texas and Oklahoma prevented him from continuing to run UWF for more than a few months and eventually he just incorporated those stars into the NWA. Within one year, Crockett was nearly bankrupt and sold his company to Ted Turner, who would turn it into WCW. Crockett made two brief attempts to return to the world of professional wrestling in the mid-1990s and then spent the rest of his life as a Texas realtor and mortgage loan originator.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Buddy Colt, who also competed as Ron Reed, who passed away March 5th at the age of 85. At the time of this writing, no cause of death was announced though it is known he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Colt, whose real name was Ronald Read, was a former United States Marine who also competed in body building and frequented a gym in Washington D. C. where other wrestlers like Dick Steinborn and Johnny Valentine trained. After moving to Houston, Read met Otto Von Krupp, who trained him and he had his first match in Bowling Green, KY in a tag team contest with Jim Boggs vs. Al & Don Greene. At this point, he was simply “Cowboy” Ron Reed and would travel around various territories until arriving in Oklahoma, where he dropped the “Cowboy” nickname in exchange for “Handsome” and partnered with “Dandy” Jack Donovan. Together, this villainous pair would be a mainstay in the tag team division and on April 8, 1968, they defeated Chati Yokouchi & Chuck Karbo for the TSW United States Tag Team Titles. It’s unclear how long they held them, though are known to still be billed as champions in Oklahoma City as of May 3rd, but at some point they either lost or are stripped of the belts. Sometime prior to August 2, 1968, they regained the titles by defeating Danny Hodge & Lorenzo Parente and would reign for about 3 months, losing the titles to back to Hodge & Parente on November 4, 1968. After this Reed would move to the Amarillo territory and completely reinvent himself as Buddy Colt, which would be how he would best be known for the remainder of his career. Championships came in great numbers to Buddy as he competed in the Central States, Georgia, and Florida territories and many of his contemporaries said that he had most of the qualities to make a great NWA World Champion. But that opportunity never came. On February 20, 1975, Colt, along with Bobby Shane, Gary Hart & Austin Idol were in a plane crash. Colt was the pilot and broke both his ankles, which later developed gangrene and had to be fused together, ending his in-ring career. Colt’s association with pro wrestling was not over, though, as he had part ownership of the Florida territory and became a color commentator with Gordon Solie for the weekly television program for many years. Colt competed in 74 documented matches in Oklahoma. The earliest was December 30, 1963 in Tulsa, where he defeated Frank Marconi. The last was January 3, 1969 in Oklahoma City, where he lost to Lorenzo Parente.
