Joey Ryan Files Lawsuit Against Anthem
Posted: Oct 13th 2020 By: Daniel A. Nelson - Bodyslam.net
According to PWInsider, former Impact talent and internet wrestling sensation Joey Ryan has reportedly filed a lawsuit for $10 million against Anthem Sports & Entertainment, Impact’s parent company, in September for breach of contract.
Ryan’s contract would have seen him signed with Impact Wrestling until August 2021 but his deal was terminated as of June 22nd in the wake of the ‘Speaking Out’ movement after having multiple accusations of sexual assault and abuse directed his way.
Anthem have been given until October 24th to respond to the lawsuit. Ryan put out a statement at the time of the movement stating that the accusations should not impact him (no pun intended) as they were from before his signing with Impact Wrestling.
