An Interview with "The Gifted" Eric Rose

An Interview with "The Gifted" Eric Rose

Posted: Dec 7th 2007 By: Stevie Caballero

Big Daddy Jones - I have watched you wrestle in several venue's and I have noticed that you have an uncanny resemblence to WWE's Shawn Michaels. Like you, he hails from Texas. He is from San Antonio and you come from Corpus Christi. My question is, do you idolize him and there fore wrestle so much like him?

Eric Rose - Shawn Michaels idolizes me, I don't idolize him. I cannot help that we resemble each other.

BDJ - Yeah, but, you wrestle much as he does and the heel kick that you use as your finishing move is similar to his sweet chin music.

ER - I grew up excelling in sports while in high school and I also took karate. It is from karate that I picked up my heel kick move. I have others that I will sometime use as well.

BDJ - Well, both of you are known for your high flying moves. And both are known for your technical moves. So forgive the comparison here. Even so, you both are nearly the same size and build. Where did you train, was it in Texas?

ER - No, I trained with the great Tom Jones here in Oklahoma.

BDJ - I have noticed that a good number of wrestlers can claim that distinction. You have traveled about several places to wrestle, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas. What are your plans at this time?

ER - I am looking to capture titles in all these places. I will take on anyone to achieve that goal. Don't get in my way on I will take you down. Watch out for my heel kick.

BDJ - I will remember that, I see that you are accompanied quite often by Maria Starr, is she going to wrestle some day?

ER - I don't know that, however she is a good valet. Why are you asking me about her, isn't this my interview?

BDJ - Sorry about that, I was just wondering.....

ER - Well, don't wonder about things that don't concern you.

BDJ - Who would you say was the main wrestler that has influenced you in your life?

ER - I would say that Eddie Guerro was a big influence, it was a shame that such a good man was lost so young in his career. Al Farat is another that has taught me things. I guess that you could say that I learn things all the time from those that I work with and associate with.

BDJ - I have noticed that you have been dogged by this Culo fellow, you even abandoned him when in a match you were teamed together.

ER - Culo Intruso, I cannot believe that the match maker teamed me with that strange fellow. He could not keep his hands off of me. I could not team with this kind of a person. He is as strange as a four dollar bill.

BDJ - I would think that would be a good analogy. He seems to like patting your back side. Is he trying to tell you something?

ER - What are you saying, this is bull___ ! This interview is over.

I think that I struck a bad note there. Still true to his name he is a gifted wrestler, has good looks and has the tools to really become a champion for some time to come.
This has been Big Daddy Jones on the beat.
