Andrade told Digital Spy about being nervous when he met Ric Flair: “When we first met I was seriously so nervous -- so, so nervous. Now I'm so happy. I love Ric Flair. He's a great person with me, he talks, texts me, sometimes we have dinner. He's great with me now."
The Rock & Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair, Batista & Randy Orton from WrestleMania XX was uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel. You can watch it here
The Rock congratulated Jim Cornette and the NWA on the premiere of NWA Power: “Congrats Jim, the boys, crew etc. Stumbled across this show last night and enjoyed it. I grew up in territories and started my career at channel 5 in Memphis so I have a lot of love/respect for small scale, crowd tv shows. Cool vintage feel. Keep working hard boys. Rock”
Sammy Guevara uploaded a vlog from last week’s AEW Dynamite premiere. You can watch it here
On Dynamite Wednesday night, Chris Jericho officially introduced The Inner Circle, the new faction featuring himself, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Ortiz, and Santana. The AEW champion introduced each member of his faction one by one and even took on the fans for chanting "we the people" when it was Jake Hager's time. Jericho told the crowd that "we the people" sucks and it's dead and buried, blaming WWE creative for the silly catchphrase. That got a huge pop from the Boston crowd. Later in the night, Jericho teamed up with Guevara to take on Hangman Page and Dustin Rhodes. The heels won with Jericho pinning Dustin but after the match, Cody came out to clean house after The Inner Circle continued to beat on Dustin. His offense was short-lived as Santana and Ortiz, the former LAX members, came out to help their team mates as Jericho took down Cody. Reinforcements soon came for Cody with MJF coming down with a chair, clocking Ortiz, Santana, Guevara, and Jericho. The Young Bucks also showed up and Dustin came back to try and even the odds as Jericho escaped. But Jericho was met by Darby Allin who came down the ramp on a skateboard to attack him and after all the dust was cleared, Allin posed with the rest of The Elite in the middle of the ring. It was a wild brawl that sent fans in the stands crazy and a fitting end to another good episode of AEW Dynamite.
WWE held night one of the WWE Draft yesterday on Friday Night Smackdown with the first picks moving to Raw, Smackdown, and many others remaining free agents as they weren’t picked. Moving – or staying – on Raw are Becky Lynch, all of The O.C. including AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Ricochet, Bobby Lashley, Alexa Bliss, Kevin Owens, Natalya, The Viking Raiders, Nikki Cross, and The Street Profits. Drafted to the blue brand are Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman, Lacey Evans, The Revival, all of Lucha House Party including Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado, and Heavy Machinery. Those not picked but were available in the pool (and who can now "sign as free agents") are Akira Tozawa, Cesaro, Chad Gable, Drew Gulak, EC3, Eric Young, Heath Slater, Humberto Carrillo, Sin Cara, Tamina, and The B-Team.
WWE Network News reported that a new episode of Ride Along will air on the WWE Network after Raw on Monday. It will feature Maria & Mike Kanellis in one car and Braun Strowman, EC3 & Drake Maverick in the other as they head to Madison Square Garden.
In a video on Xavier Woods’ UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, and Adam Cole reacted to WWE 2K20 ratings. You can watch it here
