NEWS
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the confirmed WWE suspensions include Charlie Haas, Edge, Gregory Helms, John Morrison, William Regal, Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, Funaki, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Chris Masters. It is unclear if Masters received a 30 or 60 day suspension. Masters has a lot of heat for missing the initial face to face meeting WWE had with the original ten suspended wrestlers days after the Summerslam PPV. Edge and Helms, both out of action due to injuries, will lose 30 days of their downside guarantee pay.

In his latest blog update, the voice of RAW and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated his contract negotiations status with WWE. J. R.'s contract is up soon and he says that he fully expects to sign a new contract with the company in the next few weeks unless "something pops up unexpectedly." J. R. said that with this new contract he'll be with WWE for the foreseeable future and ripped on those websites who are spreading false information about his contract dealings with the company. "If you want to read the absurd, check out the websites who allegedly have all the details on this matter. Either these sites are talking to someone inside the WWE, who 'might' have limited knowledge on this matter, and I stress 'limited,' or they are simply running with a rumor and making it a bona fide news story..."

Matches being rumored for WWE's "No Mercy" pay-per-view on October 7th include Batista defending the WWE Smackdown World Title against The Undertaker, and an "Unforgiven" pay-per-view rematch pitting WWE World Women's champion Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix.

Afa Jr., son of Afa of The Wild Samoans, and Rosey, son of Sika, have begun tagging together in Ohio Valley Wrestling as Sons of Samoa.

A recent quote from Bill Goldberg's interview on Live 105.3 with Richard ?Big Dick? Hunter: "TNA totally blows, man. I don't think they have a clue as to what people want to see, I think. They've got a very clouded vision. Right after the Benoit death, WWE and TNA had an opportunity to 'make it right.' They had an opportunity, they had everyone's attention and what does TNA do? They go out and sign 'Pacman' Jones. That in itself, in a nutshell, describes TNA's mentality. That as a viable option for Goldberg? Absolutely not. Those guys don't deserve to have me on their program."

Junior Fatu, formerly known as Rikishi while in WWE, made his TNA debut on September 10th at the "TNA iMPACT!" TV tapings.

There is talk of adding Kevin Nash to the Sting vs Kurt Angle match at TNA's "Bound for Glory" pay-per-view event.

On Fox Sports Net's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" last Friday night, they had a "News or Not" segment which Chris Rose was hosting. They played the clip of Pacman Jones pinning Sting at the recent TNA pay-per-view. Chris and the panel said that "Sting was washed up and Pacman could have probably beat him in a real fight". They all agreed it was not news and that Sting was washed up.

At the Ring of Honor event in Chicago Ridge, IL on September 15th, NWA World Champion Adam Pearce announced that he, Brent Albright, and B. J. Whitmer are now collectively as "The Hangman 3".

As reported in the Scoop a few weeks back, United Wrestling Federation is auctioning off the oppotuntity to manage some of the superstars at their "Capital Punishment" event on September 21st in Richmond, VA. Last check of the auction showed WWE Smackdown announcer J. B. L. at $360. Other amounts include Ricky Steamboat at $125, Scott Steiner at $125, D-Lo Brown at $135, A. J. Styles at $135, Abyss at $125, Joey Matthews at $125, Dustin Rhodes at $250, Hernandez of The Latin American Xchange at $125, Homicide of The Latin American Xchange at $125, Elix Skipper at $125, Steve Corino at $125, C. W. Anderson at $125, Kirby Mack at $125, Gail Kim at $165, Daffney at $125, and Guest Ring Announcer at $320. Sgt. Slaughter, Ruckus, Ron Simmons, Rick Steiner, Senshi, David Young, T. J. Mack, referee David Hebner, and Damian Wayne have yet to receive a bid. All auctions close on September 18th.

John O'Malley has been stripped of the Asylum Championship Wrestling Title and has been removed from the ACW roster according to the ACW website. In a statement on the website, ACW said "No one in ASYLUM WRESTLING has heard a word from John O'Malley since the last ACW Event in June. Even thought the August 31st event was cancelled due to events out of our control, the ACW rules covering such an issue clearly state that each wrestler on the roster contact management at least a week prior to event, O'Malley did not. As a matter of fact O'Malley has not contacted anyone within ACW since his last title defense. This is beyond disrespectful to our company, to our fans, to our heavyweight title, and to the business of pro wrestling and will NEVER be tolerated by anyone of the roster, nor would it be tolerated by any business what-so-ever. It is with our deepest reluctance that we are forced to eliminate John O'Malley (John Smelley) from our roster and strip him of the our richest prize, The ACW Heavyweight Championship. O'Malley has been a staple in ACW since our third show in Lawton, Oklahoma back in mid 2002. He's been a pleasure to work with in that time, but unfortunately the professional and respectable 2x time former champion that we knew, seemingly no longer exists. ACW wishes John the best of luck & the greatest of wishes with his new family & his new career. ACW will crown a new Champion in January of 2008 during a Roster wide LOTTERY TOURNAMENT..." In an unrelated announcement on the site, ACW announced that the company will be on hiatus until January 18, 2008. They said "with all the negative recent events, sometimes it's best to sit back and refresh!"

Congratulations goes out to Michael Barry who just celebrated one year as IZW Heavyweight Champion. Barry defeated Aaron Neil for the title on September 16, 2006.

Congratulations also goes out to Bad Boy who recently celebrated one year as MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion. Bad Boy won the titles with Glen Steel on September 8, 2006 by defeating Aaron Neil & Alexander Lucas, who was substituting for Se7en. Steel was replaced with Outlaw as champion on April 29, 2007.
