A. J. Styles might have lost his match against Brock Lesnar last Sunday night at "Survivor Series", but the WWE Champion gave the Universal Champion a run for his money and Paul Heyman acknowledged that Styles is the very best in this business in a video shot after their match. Heyman was full of praise for Styles and said he was a fan of A. J. Styles "before he was supposed to be an A. J. Styles fan." Heyman said that Styles is more phenomenal than he gives himself credit for and said that if you're not a fan of A. J. Styles, you should not be watching WWE. "He's everything that Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and Ric Flair were to their generation and he updated it. He evolved their styles and that's why he's the single most phenomenal performer that I ever had the honor and the pleasure of watching up close," Heyman said. The long-time manager added that no one in the ring has ever compared to what he witnessed at "Survivor Series" and he had the best seat in the house. "To you, sir, I have nothing but respect and admiration."
The main event for the last pay-per-view of 2017, "Clash of Champions", will be WWE Champion A. J. Styles defending the title against Jinder Mahal. Appearing on the Titan Tron, Mahal said the only reason he lost to Styles in Manchester, England is because he was busy getting ready for Brock Lesnar and if it was him who took on Lesnar at "Survivor Series", he would have won unlike Styles. Styles told Mahal to come down to the ring and wrestle him since he looked rather fresh considering he did not do anything at "Survivor Series". Mahal refused and said he will be invoking his rematch clause at "Clash of Champions". The Singh Brothers (Samir Singh & Sunil Singh) then attacked Styles from behind as Mahal looked on from backstage. Their attack did not last long though as Styles quickly turned it around, even delivering the Styles Clash.
Daniel Bryan named A. J. Styles as the person he’d like to wrestle if WWE were to clear him to return to the ring.
Jinder Mahal posted a promo on Twitter about his upcoming match against Triple H that will take place next month in India. You can see the video by clicking here.
The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA which hosted "WrestleMania XXVII" in 2011 is no more as it was imploded on Monday to make way for the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium right next door. Opened in 1992 with a seating capacity of 80,000, the Georgia Dome was the home of NFL's Atlanta Falcons and hosted the Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994 and Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. When WWE hosted WrestleMania, the Georgia Dome packed in 71,617 WWE fans, second only to a Rolling Stones concert in 1994 which saw 81,160 fans. At "WrestleMania XXVII", The Rock returned as the host of the show after a 7-year absence. The Georgia Dome was also the site where Goldberg defeated Hulk Hogan for his first WCW World Title on July 6, 1998. Over 40,000 took over one side of the Georgia Dome for that special edition of "WCW Monday Nitro", with Eric Bischoff putting on this pay-per-view caliber match on free television to battle WWF's resurgence in the Monday Night Wars rating. That edition of Nitro ended up beating RAW 4.8 to 4.0 while the Hogan/Goldberg match from the stadium drew 6.91 rating for the quarter hour, which was a record at the time. The new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is surely a good fit for a future WrestleMania as it holds over 70,000 fans in a football setting. The NFL already announced that Super Bowl LIII in 2019 will be held there and that often means that WrestleMania will not be far behind.
Not only are the Los Angeles Rams using the name Ric Flair in calling audibles at the line of scrimmage, but they are also using the term Dusty Rhodes.

Oklafan extends condolences to Trey Cole on the passing of his grandmother-in-law on November 23rd.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Rancid, who passed away from a heart attack on November 20, 2017. He was 38 years old. Rancid, whose real name was Jason Redfearn, competed as a wrestler beginning in 1994. He competed in various federations in Kansas and Florida, winning singles and tag team gold. Upon entering the Global Wrestling Federation in Kansas, he became part of The Asylum and often competed against wrestlers who were regulars in Oklahoma at the time. This opened the door for him to compete in TPW, SRPW, and FCW. He lost every match that he wrestled in Oklahoma before he stopped competing. Redfearn competed primarily as Rancid, but did create an alternative identity for himself as Billy Walden, Jr. He used that identity once at an FCW event. After he stopped competing as a wrestler, Redfearn made a brief attempt at becoming a stand-up comedian. Rancid has 7 documented Oklahoma matches to his credit. The earliest occurred on February 11, 2006 in Tulsa, where he lost to Rocco Valentino at TPW. The last was May 5, 2006 in Sapulpa, where he teamed with Sean Cross and lost to team of Bobby Burns and Terry Montana. Rancid's Aunt Ella passed away on November 19th. Oklafan would like to extend condolences to the family due to her passing as well.
