NWA Texoma announced on November 14th that they had dissolved their relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance and renamed itself Texoma Pro Wrestling. They did not announce whether or not their champions would retain their titles under their new name. They did announce that NWA World Tag Team Champions The Iron Empire (Rob Conway & Matt Riviera) and Revolution (Seth Allen & Dane Griffin) would not be appearing on their upcoming show this Saturday. At this time, Texoma Pro Wrestling has not announced a future Oklahoma show so they have not been added to Oklafan.

During a NXT Takeover media conference call, Triple H shot down reports that WWE originally wanted Trish Stratus to face NXT Women’s Champion Asuka at the upcoming "NXT Takeover - Toronto" event next week, but went with Mickie James because Stratus is pregnant again. “I’ve seen the rumors out there about other people being attempted to be grabbed for [Mickie’s spot],” Triple H said. He added that for next week’s "Takeover", he wanted more time for the other women in NXT to grow as performers, so he went with Mickie James, noting that she was very skilled and could handle it. “I felt like [Mickie] and Asuka would tear it up,” Triple H added. “I want to reinforce that Mickie was not the consolation prize for us in anyway. She is the person that we went at first.”

Playmates Toys has released a line combining WWE and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, available only at Walmart. John Cena is Leonardo, Sting is Raphael, Undertaker is Donatello, and Randy Savage is Michelangelo.

Ric Flair and his daughter Charlotte are releasing a new book entitled Second Nature: The Legacy of Ric Flair and the Rise of Charlotte. The book, published by St. Martin’s Press, will contain 320 pages and will be released on July 25, 2017. The synopsis of the book reads, “Ric Flair is a 16-time World Champion and two-time WWE Hall of Fame Inductee. His four-decades long career is recognized as one of the greatest of all time, but with success comes a price. Despite his effortless brilliance in front of the cameras, his life away from the cameras includes personal struggles, controversy and family tragedy. Ric Flair had to cancel his appearance at the Sport Card & Memorabilia Auction at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on Sunday.

Actor/Comedian Joel McHale did a book signing on Sunday in Naperville, IL. He was asked about WWE and said that while hosting "The Soup", the wrestlers would come on and kill it in one take and that some of the biggest stars in Hollywood would need multiple takes. He noted he especially loved working with Jerry Lawler.

Oklafan congratulates Gail Kim, who recently surpassed 18 months as IWR Diamonds Champion. She defeated Madison Rayne to become the 1st ever champion on May 2, 2015 at an event in Ardmore. It should be noted however, that Kim has only defended the title once since winning it. That successful title defense occurred on August 29, 2015 when she defeated Velvet Sky at an event in Shawnee. Kim has not competed in any Oklahoma wrestling company in 2016.
