Tough weekend to be an Oklahoma Football fan as the mighty Ohio State Buckeyes came to Norman and took my team to the woodshed Saturday night before the largest crowd to ever see any sporting event in Oklahoma's history of over 87,000. The better team won and all my Sooners can do is to improve and put themselves in a position to win the Big 12 Conference Championship. Ohio State is arguably the number one or number two ranked college football team in the nation right now in a top ten that is bound to continue to change as the season progresses.

A few random thoughts largely consisting of topics from our Q&A's here on the site and from Twitter @JRsBBQ...

Without question the WWE CWC has been a rousing success as it relates to in ring productivity and fan support and I'd like to see the Cruiserweights on RAW compete with other Cruiserweights only unless a viable, personal issue is developed between a Cruiser and a non Cruiser.

Looks like I will be chatting with Road Warrior Animal aka Joe Laurinaitis on Monday night for a future Ross Report podcast. If you've got questions that you can get me before 6 pm CT Monday evening, hit me on Twitter @JRsBBQ.

Concerned about the great Terry Funk's health as he had a scare from what I'm reading Saturday night at a House of Hardcore event. The 72 year old all time great was one of my favorite broadcast partners in our WCW years there together. Go out of your way to catch some of our work on the WWE Network and you will quickly realize that Terry Funk was one of the greatest all around performers ever in the wrestling business. Unlike many former or current wrestlers doing color commentary, Terry actually put his peers over in a positive way and had amazing instincts as to how the flow of a match was going. Keep Terry in your thoughts.

Jim Cornette and I are teaming to perform a RINGSIDE with JIm Ross Show this Friday night in Baltimore at Jimmy's Famous Seafood and tickets are still available at www.missiontix.com. Love to see you there if you can make it.

Catching up today with Tammy Stych aka Sunny about coming on the Ross Report podcast in the near future and caught her in the hospital where she has ben for a few days dealing with an issue involving her pancreas. We wish Sunny/Tammy our best and look forward to chatting with her on our podcast soon.

Hope that you have or will enjoy this week's Ross Report podcast with Chavo Guerrero who talks Lucha Underground with me and Bull James formerly known as Bully Dempsey in WWE NXT who discusses his time in WWE developmental, Dusty Rhodes and Bull's future. www.podcastone.com, iTunes and the home page of this very site gets you directly to our show.

This week's podcast features my conversation with ROH Champion Adam Cole and we cover a ton of topics that should interest many of you. Adam is a smart, young man who never steers away from any topic or question. A new Podcast drops every Tuesday night at 9 ET.

Sooners lose...Steelers win...it all balances out in our football home.

The on going saga within TNA Impact Wrestling continues and for those asking me questions about the topic, I'm sorry I can't enlighten you but I'm out of that particular loop. It's obvious that the company needs operating capital and that it is for sale. The question is if an entity buys the beleaguered brand what do they actually get other than a library of somewhat marketable distinction but what else? The TV clearance on POP TV is questionable and in need of an upgrade. TNA's recent TV shows have been good thanks in part to Matt Hardy and company. I'm hopeful that the current Impact Wrestling management team can catch a break and subsequently take steps toward getting their brand healthier.

Unfortunately, the name TNA Impact Wrestling doesn't have a ring of success to it these days and should arguably be 'retired' if a new name, etc can be used to hit the reset button for this group.

I updated the Q&A's here on the site earlier today if you want ot check them out.

We do our first RINGSIDE with Jim Ross show ever in Nashville on Wednesday November 9 and tickets are on sale now at www.zanies.com starting at only $25.

Saw where WWE promoted Springfield, Missouri this weekend which used to be our old , Wednesday booking in McGuirk's territory at the Shrine Mosque. There were no "Mosque" issues back then as life was a bit simpler and the biggest concerns were the villains who knew how to wrestle for 'heat' and not a 'pop.'

We should have updated info soon regarding our RINGSIDE Show Sunday afternoon November 20 before WWE's sold out Survivor Series event in Toronto. The show is a go but we need to finalize the on sale date, etc. This event will likely end around 4 pm and is only a few steps away from the arena. We think that it will make for a fun show that can address NXT the night before, all the fan's other Q&A's while providing a terrific lead in to the Survivor Series. I will be doing CBS Sports Network boxing on Friday night November 18, fly to Toronto Saturday November 19 and then do our RINGSIDE Show on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by but please no phone calls during the season finale Sunday nightof 'Ray Donovan' on Showtime.
