NEWS
Bobby Eaton went missing for several hours last Friday at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He had been in Charlotte, NC for the NWA Mid-Atlantic FanFest and missed his connecting flight in Atlanta. His cell phone was lost and hadn't been heard from for several hours. Pro wrestlers Sigmon and Lars Manderson went to the airport and Atlanta Police Department located Eaton at around 11:30pm. Sigmon then drove Bobby to Bobby's sister's house in Church Hill, TN where he will stay for a few days before heading home.

Pat Patterson is doing a book signing on Thursday, August 11th at 6pm, at Librairie Paragraphe Bookstore in Montréal. He's promoting his autobiography "Accepted: How the First Gay Superstar Changed WWE". There will be a wristband policy in effect, and space is limited to 300 on a first come/first serve basis. Purchase of the book from Libraire Paragraphe Bookstore is required.

A round of roster reveals have been made for WWE 2K17 with Aiden English & Simon Gotch of the Vaudevillains, Booker T, Brian Pillman, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Chris Jericho, Diego & Fernando of Los Matadores, Erick Rowan, Heath Slater, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Jim Neidhart, Konnor & Viktor of the Ascension, Larry Zbyszko, R-Truth, and The Ultimate Warrior all being announced for the game.

Jinder Mahal's win over Heath Slater last Monday night was the first time he had ever won a singles match on RAW. He only has 2 wins prior on RAW with 3MB in tag matches. The first on 10/29/2012 with he and Heath beating Santino Marella & Zack Ryder. The other was on 1/14/2013 where he, Heath, and Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus in a handicap over the top rope elimination match. And yes, he did win his first few singles matches on SmackDown in the summer of 2011, but none on RAW until last Monday night.

John Cena vs. A. J. Styles is officially set for "SummerSlam" after the match was announced on SmackDown last Tuesday night. This is their second singles match after they met for the first time earlier this year at "Money in the Bank". Styles, with the help of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, got the win in that match. But Cena pinned Styles in a six-man tag at "Battleground" to set up the rematch at "SummerSlam".

Roman Reigns and A. J. Styles were taken off from the "SummerSlam" promotional posters and replaced by Finn Balor in demon costume and WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Originally the promotional material for "SummerSlam" included Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar, A. J. Styles, John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. Lesnar was the center figure of the poster flanked by Orton and Cena. Now it’s the WWE champion Dean Ambrose who’s positioned in front of the poster and Balor and Lesnar right behind him. Meanwhile the "NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II" posters feature NXT Champion Samoa Joe and his challenger Shinsuke Nakamura at the top and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka and Bayley at the bottom.

Most of the top RAW names as well as John Cena and A. J. Styles left after RAW Monday night for New Zealand and a four show tour that begins on Wednesday in Auckland with Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, John Cena vs. A. J. Styles, and Chris Jericho vs. Finn Balor as the top matches.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Jean Antone, who passed away on August 4, 2016 after a bout with cancer. Standing just 4 feet 11 inches tall, fans called her "Little Miss Dynamite". Her career began in 1961 and shortly after her debut she wrestled in a series of mixed tag team matches partnering with Terry Funk against Jack Cain and Kay Noble. Her career took her all across the globe. She held All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling's WWWA Title and the WWWA Tag Team Titles twice (both with Sandy Parker). In North America, she held the Stampede Wrestling North American Title, the NWA Central States Women's Title (twice), and regional titles in Kansas and California. In 1975, she and Sandy Parker wrestled the first match in the state of Oregon in over 50 years when state officials lifted the ban on women's wrestling. Early in her career, she married her high school sweetheart in the ring and wrestled later that night. Oklafan lists 11 results for Jean Antone in Oklahoma, all in TSW. The first was October 10, 1966 in Tulsa when she teamed with Betty Boucher and lost to Judy Grable and The Fabulous Moolah. Her last was a loss to Kay Noble on September 3, 1971 in Oklahoma City. However, she was advertised for TSW events in Tulsa on October 1, 1973 and in Oklahoma City on October 2, 1981 but the results for those events are unknown.

J. B. Payne posted on Facebook about Jean Antone's passing, "Its with a heavy heart that we have lost yet another member of the NWA central states wrestling family@835 am this morning, a true legend!!! may you R.I.P/R.I.H, MS Jean Antone ,you were a great friend and a wealth of knowledge for me. i will never forget our many conversations over the past 3.5years...my thoughts and prayers to Patricia Morado and family..truly saddened by this....."
